It struck me that he didn't want him and it was a smoke screen, but that doesn't add up with the scouting missions and time spent negotiating with him and his club........just find it strange he was so open in a press conference.

also as for HR saying daft things, i'm not sure why people are surprised. He's a media darling for good reason, he gives out information, often detail that you think he really shouldn't.... the press are effectively vultures waiting for the next feed often with Harry. I thnk that is one of the reasons he fell out with Daniel Levy, becasue too often he'd leak names or info, particularly around transfer dealings or plans that it often weakened their position... and we all know what a hard bargainer Levy is when it comes to transfers so i'm sure at times he'd have pulled his hair out if he had any with some of Harry's leaks.
He's already made ricks to the press since with us... why has he divulged players wages, ie Bosingwa, this gives every target a perceived benchmark to aim for, and why was he so public when asked about Mvila.... i honestly think any chance we had was lost then as made everyone aware he was up for a bargain and any interested parties spoke with his club.

Look Harry is not stupid even the most naive manager does not "announce" signings before they are done. I already said it doesn't add up but Harry's behaviour opens up avenues to question. There was talk that to get Remy to come it would be helpful to get Mvila, and well we got Remy already. You think Bosingwa details were a rick? I think you're the one that is being daft. Harry did that imo to force him out, get the fans turning on him and all round bad press. I think you underestimate our manager.

But if you actually think it's good for our manager to publicly announce to the world exactly what one of our higher earners is getting then more fool you. I guarantee that is not good when it comes to any negotiation with an agent of a player we want.
As for not announcing it before it was done.... what exactly do you think he did...?
Also, i think you overestimate Harry tbh. I think it was made clear with all his court revelations that he is far from the sharpest tool in the box. Good manager yes, particularly intelligent... no.Last edited by Del; 22-01-2013, 11:27 AM.
