  • Echoes of Mullery...

It worried me last night that the players' body language reminded me of that of the team when Mullery was manager, just before he was sacked. I just got the feeling there was no rapport between the player and JM.

As I posted on another thread, most of these players have proved in the past they want to play for the club, but I'm starting to doubt that they want to play for the manager.
He was bawling stuff at them and none of them seemed to take any notice of him.

I was interested to see the threads about JM losing the dressing room, as that's exactly the concern I voiced to my dad last night, and his public criticism of Buzz is the sort of thing managers do when they're on their way out.

I don't want to believe it so early in the season, but there seems to be some worrying vibes.
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

Love him or loathe him but Sousa's footballing record demanded respect. Unfortunately Magilton hasn't ever "achieved" anything in the game so modern day footballers won't/don't give him respect.

Managers need opportunity to become successful but you need your team to die for you and unfortunately they don't look like they ever would.

I know De canio had his knockers, but without question he had these players playing the best football and its largely the same squad if not better now. I think its the europhia hits town, then players get comfortable. Said somewhere else, if you know that players might think they are more powerful than the manager. Maybe Flavio needs to go inot the dressing room and say

Actually there may be something in that. The players may have just got into the cycle of "temporary manager after temporary manager" and they don't truly believe that ANY manager is long term anymore with Flavio pulling the strings.
Although this DOES call for even stronger management from JM it may just need a few words of support from the great "unpredictible one" to show the boys that JM is here to stay.

Can't we get LDC back as coach to our attackers, and Sousa as coach to our defenders?

But for 75% of his tenure he also had Hall, Connolly and Delaney
