Could / should it have been like this ???

1) Recognising that we've desparately needed two decent strikers for well over a year, GP and JM pull out all the stops and bring in two good strikers over the summer (didn't happen)

2) First few games of season. JM and JG get the team playing good attacking football, creating lots of chances (did happen)

3) New strikers put away the chances, points on the Board, confidence and momentum builds, play offs (at the very least) here we come (unfortunately didnt happen)

Instead, because of the failure and incompetence of GP and the Board, we are where we are.

I feel sorry for JM, as the old saying goes, "You can't polish a turd"

No, but he could try playing his best defenders i.e. Ramage, Connolly, Gorkks, Stewart on a regular basis so that they can return to last season's good form.

He could also try playing Buzsaky from the start in an attacking central midfield role.

He could also not pick GM & ML together for the central midfield roles.
