May get slated for this, and even I'm unsure if I actually mean this, but I wouldn't care if we signed mercenaries like Anelka or whoever on high wages if it meant staying up, only on a short-term basis that is. I know the premier league isn't the be all and end all of football (although financially it is), but the thing I'd be the most gutted about with relegation is losing some of the players I love to watch week in week out. Taarabt, Faurlin, Mackie to name the ones I think really love this club. I'd kill me watching those play for other premier league sides whilst we're languishing in the lower divisions. Obviously I want them to do well, imagine the likes of Ale or Adel playing at clubs like spurs or united, but i'd much rather have them for ourselves to help us push higher up the league. so yeah. any thoughts? survival this season could really spur us on to greater things under harry. (i've had a few shandy's)

its a risky business though , weve had our fingers burnt badly by foreign mercenaries who are happy to rake in huge salaries and dont give a monkeys about the club , could easily be good money after bad
