I think FB cares. I also think that some fans are *****s. I also think that perhaps the players are underperforming because of JM.

How many of us at work have at some point not got on with our new manager, supervisor, or colleagues and seen our work.performance suffer?

while i agree totally the players were at fault last night, this animosity to flav is due in my opinion to not purchasing a striker, now that may be down to him or the SD or JM , but the animosity is unfair

I was totally embarassed last nite. To have a team come from the 4th tier in english football and totally play us off the park takes me back to the days of doudou, wardley and ben askar! The majority of the players should be very dissapointed in themselves. I was glad to see Matt Connolly play CB in the second half, think he is much better there than the likes of stewart and hall. Buzz was terrible as was agey. Didnt think Hogan had a great game considering hes obviously got a point to prove to the manager. When Mahon and legs play together its like 1 of them always gets lost and you dont even know they r playing. Vine made a few good runs but desperatly needs games under his belt.

Yes we got the result and thats what matters at the end of the day but if that had been a leauge game or a team that could have converted their dominance into goals we would have got stuffed.

Personaly i dont think Jim Magilton has a scooby about what he is doing and i think alot of the players just dont want to play for him. I sat next to the dugout and im sorry to say it but the guy just isnt the man to take us foward. His tactics and what he tells players to do are just plain stupid.

Rant over and thankyou for listening.

The Wigan chairman is the kind of person the fans relate, as he is a people's man. We see Flavio as aloof and a bit above our station, but he cannot be blamed. He has ploughed good money into the club, he must want premiership football, at the end of the day he is a astute businessman. I don't blame him at all, he did get things wrong last season, but he came to the game Tuesday, apparantly always wants to know what is going at the club and he is paying the players wages.

If, I was paying these players say 5-10k a week and they performed like that, I would want to know why, wouldn't you? Flavio alone, has allowed us to get a better calibre of player in, its not his fault they are underperforming.

Agree with most of that except the bolded to an extent. FB's quickfire managerial turnover has, IMO, created this situation. The players on long contracts know they can get away with the minimum effort for the current incumbent as they know, more likely than not, he's not going to be there in 6 or so months. The managerial authority has been eroded due to this and can probably only be restored by appointing a significantly experienced and older man IMHO - and leave him well alone to manage. I honestly think we'd be far better served is FB was less visible.

Flavio is the front man, the face of the consortium, he will be the man that gets stick when were playing badly, someones bound to so he's the most obvious person...

Im sure when we get promoted he will get praise.

I agree. We have so many on our books that at the start of the summer you could list who should be let go. Instead we've sold a starting left back and a starting striker as well as sub keeper. There are some who shouldn't get anywhere near the first XI but still do and there are some who would struggle to get a reserve match.

These players need a rocket up their backside and some fear put into them. Right now they don't need to perform because they still have 2 or 3 years left on a contract which has ensured that they are paid the best they ever have been.

Unfortunately for Magilton and therefore for us his managerial record doesn't demand respect. Hopefully be naming those who aren't peforming like he did in his post match interview they'll realise that they either have to perform or look for another club.
