well they only gave him the new contract in the autumn. They still have half a season to go and must be looking at their best finish in years. hardly surprising they want to keep one of their best players. their manager just laughed off our offer as if it was a bit of a joke. going to be hugely difficult to bring in decent players given our league predicament unless we pay enormous transfer fees and wages - real stick or twist dilemma for the owners.

He's been talking quite a few times in Swedish press about his desire to move to London, I shouldn't throw this over the bridge just yet..

This is also a bit strange. Why sign a new contract if you do not really want to stay. I think this is why there is a buy out clause at the end of the season The worrying part is that he wants to move to London for personal reasons. Hopefully these personal reasons would not get in the way of his playing as seems to happen to a lot of our players (Cisse and Diakite). As well as a physical, I think prospective players need a psychiatric evaluation before we sign them.

I undertand from a source close to his agent that weve offered 75K per week. Hes on 45k per week with WBA. Thats an extra 1.5 million per year!!! Would you be interested if you got that offer?

Wd be amazed if we were offering that kind of money if there isn't a single player in the West Brom team earning more than 45k. thats bordering on superstar money.

There isnt - hes there highest earner as I understand it. Were paying Bosingwa £65k a week - whats another £10k a week for a half decent player? Plus the only factor in our favour at the moment is offering silly money to attract players to come to a club botton of the league. High risk strategy for sure

As Harry pointed out last week we are paying way way over the odds for, at best, average players who have been sold on the "grand plan" for rangers - and bought into "the project" and its healthy financial rewards. Without any real footballing plan behind it to ensure the players we were buying could be moulded into an effective unit.Harry has been left just one window to sort all this s hit out - if he does keep us up it truly would be a miracle.

Exactly, and Harry said it was ridiculous that there were players - all fairly average - at Rs who were being paid more than anyone at Spurs. We are all guessing but given that relegation is a real possibility I just can't see us paying anything like that kind of money again. We have already had our fingers burned. Who is to say that any of these players will be any better than the over-paid "stars" we already have. Like all fans I'm a complete hypocrite because I wd love us to get these kind of players in, but I just don't see the board mortgaging the future of the club to that extent. Beware tall stories from agents....

Do players who play in London usually get paid more, because it is more expensive.
