  • QPR jump ahead of Newcastle in the race for £10m Loïc Rémy

Queen's Park Rangers last night emerged as the frontrunners to sign the Marseille forward Loïc Rémy.

The 26-year-old forward has been the subject of intense interest from QPR and Newcastle. Marseille will sell the player for £10 million and both clubs are prepared to meet the Ligue 1 club's asking price.

What do you make of this potential signing Stanley?

Personally, not convinced and feel like it has flop written all over it.

Would be a good signing but reckon other clubs are sniffing about and doubt we will get him

That may put us as front runner out of the two clubs, but others will come in no doubt.

hardly has to pull up many tree's, if he is to provide more fire power than cisse
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

He's strong and pacey and has a very good strike record for club and country. He's at a good age too. He's only ever played in France though so that's the only risky aspect to it.

If we get him I will be absolutely thrilled. He's got plenty of pace, good in the air and has only just turned 26. Not to mention he scores plenty of goals - the sort of signing that has the potential to turn our season around.

Indeed mate.... he may be the muts nuts, but he may follow in other French football star strikers like Chamakh and Giroud, neither of which have set the prem alight. What we can't afford to do is put loads of eggs in the basket of a player that may take months to adjust, and therefore may be totally ineffectual this season.

The deal could be swung our way with £10 million and Barton thrown in as well.

Seriously?! French international forward comes to bottom of table QPR - still odds on to go down - plus £10m and wages in excess of £80,000?! You lot believe anything

                      Risky at that gargantuan price.

Risky? It's only risky if we have offered 10m and we aint.
