he got injured early last season hence why we didn't see him much.
    First game ; QPR 1 Bolton Wanderers 3, Saturday 2nd December 1978.

But even when he was fit he was never given a chance. He was excellent for Blackpool when they were in the Premier League, and now he is probably full of confidence after netting 10 goals in 16 games for Ipswich

He was given a few chances and had a bit of a shocker missing chances..... Esoecially Man Utd at home when from practically on the goal line with the goal gaping, he somehow put the ball over the bar!

Also had a shocker at MK Dons in Warnocks final game (also FA cup 3rd round)

At the time, not many disagreed with shipping him out on loan, once we had Cisse, Zamora, an in form Helguson. But I would have kept him ahead of Bothroyd & Hulse who both featured in Hughes 1st squad.
Then with just 3 recognised strikers in this season, 1 injury prone, 1 liable for getting sent off, and 1 less than prolific, I'd have given him Hogans final place in the 25.

Tough on Hogan, who's not featured and, to be fair, AJ did look a much better option than DJ before he got injured again. Very lively.

But it's always easy in hindsight.....

I really hope DJ does really well today, he deserves his chance.
