Graham met warnock at his house and he agreed to come but swans took him day or two later. Can't blame him as we had joke owners at the time.

Mckail smith turned us down to go Brighton which some fans put down to himself not thinking he was ready or good enough for the prem

      Correct
      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
      And many more mistakes

If this is the case, then i can see it happening. If Swans consider it then i'm sure he'd come as he'd agreed to join in the past.

£4M is a lot of dosh still --- most of our signings still freebies and I dont believe Granero was £9M.

Not sure how he's doing at the moment but a player I always felt would be a good fit for us is Kevin Doyle at Wolves.

And another thing... Whens Chris Samba joining??!?!?!
I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.

We spent more on Zamora ! £4m isnt that bad if the wages aren't too high

I think it was actually at Danny Graham's house. The 1 in Sunbury he bought a few days before he signed for Swansea.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Either way it just shows how people need to stop having a moan about tony. Just reading articles from 2011 brings it all back. How things could of been different if tony took over a few weeks earlier

Very true. Warnock could only bring in free's and loans and ultimately lost his job. We'll never know what he could have achieved with just a few million budget, let alone the money that Hughes failed with.

I don't really remember the Smith one too well but 100% spot on with Graham. Warnock meet him at his house & it was all set to go through. He really is the one that got away, top top striker

Your hero had more than just a few million to spend,

Joey barton (2mil signing on fee)

                            luke young (1mil)

bothroyd (1 mil signing on fee)

                            dj campbell, 1.5 mil

anton ferdinand (undisclosed but heard on good athority 5.9 mil) shocking price!

                            swp (2mil)

so there you have it, warnkock spent plenty.

In how many days did he have to spend when tony took over? Can't remember exactly but it was less than a week I think. Swans and Norwich had all summer. Not saying warnock would have been a success but he certainly could not of done any worse than Hughes.
