spot on imo. Yes give some of the older players a rest if they need it, but we should stick with pretty much a top side to try and win. Wins breed confidence, which breed more wins. Even if we played a reserve side, if we got tonked all the media negativity will just rub off on the first team again... we need a roll.

Anyway, it's not as if its a midweek game and the players are playing in quick succession.... they dont play another league game until 9 days later so they'll get a rest.

Yes they'll be a risk of an injury, but we need to get a good starting line up and stick with it, let them play together and start winning.

            Cesar
            Fabio-Onuoha-Haim-Traore
            Derry
            Park-Faurlin-Granero-SWP
            Campbell

Rest Hill and Nelsen - have a look at Haim and see how Onuoha deoes in tthe middle
Rest M'Bia (yellow card would be bad), Mackie needs a rest to
            See what DJ can do

Totally, totally agree with you. I can't believe the sh1te teams folks are posting here. Its unreal. Bothroyd?? Anton?? FFS. I dunno why they don't just ask Mark Hughes back to manage for the day... Another tonking at home's the last thing we need. If we're not going to play in the cup we shouldn't enter the cup. Unbelievable.

As far Anton is concerned, Hill and Nelsen are both 35 this year and have played a lot of football over the last few weeks (Nelsen, according to Dave McIntyre, with ankle and knee problems) so I wouldn't risk them for an F.A. Cup match. No way. If Nelsen or Hill gets injured you're probably going to see Ben Haim or Ferdinand starting in the league and that's the last thing we need.

There is no way HR wants to get trashed like the first 45 minutes against Pool so 4-1-4-1 again?

Nelsen just had the flu and neeeds the rest, Hill as well since he's looked slow both against Pool and Chelsea.

We all want to watch DJ, I believe most likely he'll start.

A very fair point Felt, one also made by Del, but its no reason to play our third team as some foolishly suggest..... A back four of Dyer Onoha Ben Haim and Fabio makes sense if Hill and Nelsen need to be rested (and there's a case for giving Onouha a run out in the centre where he's was brought to play), but playing the likes of Park or Bothroyd or bringing back the wretched Traore is just nuts.

I'd just see the game on telly here in Sweden, maybe I was wrong. If Hill is okey, I'd play him and Ben Haim in the middle, maybe changing both CBs is a bit over the top anyway.

Probably see few changes and sounds like DJ will play. Then there is a handy little break before the next game to strengthen before the spurs game.

Give Nelson and Mbia a rest and give SWP a go to see if he can improve after the goal
