  • So who do we play up front now?

We can't carry on with Tarbs, it came off yesterday, but I don't think it will week-in-week-out. He won't get the goals, he is not a striker, and the shooting is way too wayward. So will it be DJ, Jay or Cisse? Or maybe even two of those up front? Because draws are no good for us, we need wins, and a WLWLWL is a lot better than a DDWLDL.

Cisse will become good - DJ is a QPR player and should go straight in next match - Zamora in at the end of the month (he has actually scored 4 goals in 8 starts this season)

Depends on the system. I think we look far better with 3 in the middle, which would mean Taarabt having to play wide again, where I don't think he's half as good as he is in the middle off a striker.

If we go with Taarabt behind a forward for the West Brom or Spurs game then I'd go with Bothroyd, purely and simply because we need a target man to win headers and hold the ball up to take pressure off us and to hopefully play in the others. But doing that means we only have 2 in the middle, which makes us too easy to cut open IMO.

        Tough one to call.

Adel up front can hold the ball up with his skill and strength and bring others into play, as he did to set up SWP for his goal. This worked well yesterday because we played quite deep and held a very firm line, then used the counter-attack whenever possible. Worth reminding people too that it was SWP who won the corner that lead to his goal following one of his runs down the left. But Adel, DJ and Cisse must all come into the reckoning now, then BZ when he returns.

I agree, that is probably the best plan we can have at the moment.

Harry told talksport yesterday that he hopes to use Zamora as his target man once he regains his fitness

Dj. will only stay at QPR if he is given a proper run in the team(I read)He Likes it very much at Ipswich.
Hence, it Could be that he will return to Portman Road.
Fingers crossed that he will stay with us, though.

I think it will be Dudley & Cisse.

Depends on who we are playing.

Expect Harry will change it most games. Home I hope we go back to the formation against Fulham of Adel behind Cisse, away am happy to stick with what we did at Chelsea. DJ a handy sub.

I think Jay will get more game time until Zamora is back. HR wants a target man who can hold up the ball, and Cisse and DJ are not these types of players. If we play 2 up top, I reckon it will be Jay and one of DJ or Cisse.

Shane Long is becoming unattached to WBA; great loan/buy?
He is strong skilful can play loan striker and is no shirker, just what we need.
.....and always seems to score against us!!
