"All the attacks at him".....not very Chairman like to moan about people attacking him when he is the ultimate responsible for the mess we are in.
Anyway he should take it on the chin and spread confidence to everyone in stead.

I think his logic is weird here. He is basically saying that he feels vindicated. But how? If it had not been for his overextended blind faith in Hughes we would not have been bottom of the table even after this ecstatic win, and only our second win. And if he had shown better judgment much earlier and there had consequently not been "attacks" on him, then it would not have been sweet now? Mind-boggling. They say players should not be tweeting, maybe the same embargo should be imposed on chairmen.

yeah it's all tony fault for backing the managers!
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Would it have been better just to wait for Hughes to walk at some point? Chairmen have to sack managers sometimes and Hughes should have been sacked considerably earlier.

Huh? Not sure why this question was aimed at me but while I'm here. Hughes would never ever of walked out on such a lucrative contract & he should have been sacked 5 games earlier imo.

And who could have sacked him? You? Me? Or Fernandes? As far as we know Hughes was not sacked earlier because the chairman was dead against it. So why the facepalming when some of us criticise Fernandes for waiting for so/too long? You are supposedly an insider, so feel free to correct our perception of why Hughes was allowed to linger. Maybe it was not Tony's fault, but whose then? Because it was someone's fault - this delay in sacking Hughes will probably cost us very dearly despite the current mini-resurgence under Harry.

Yea was all Fernandes fault the manager the BOARD employed was such a failure, Fernandes' fault the manager bought & selected the wrong sides, Fernandes' fault he would maybe have liked to not throw away £15-20m of his money due to a sh!t manager he put his trust into who we all expected to deliver.

The amount of sh!t Fernandes has been getting on twitter from our fans is nothing short of embarrassing & pretty disgusting so if I want to facepalm someone's comment that I feel is unwarranted I will do that if its alright with you.

                            *FACEPALM* !!!

Of course Fernandes did the right thing initially, like providing the funds to strengthen the team in the summer and not sacking Hughes after just a few bad results, etc.
But Ric, you are preferring to miss my point here.
                              Point being about OVERDUE SACKING.
                              After witnessing ABJECT FAILURE.
