Clint was referring to playing LB in the Prem. As a CB I think he is pretty able. More games than not he has been superb for us this year, Liverpool was a mare for him, but then it was for the whole side. I think we all know he is no world beater, but he certainly does a job at CB. His lack of pace was highlighted by Suarez (although in fairness he mugs most defenders off, he is mustard). Clint does the bread & butter stuff very well indeed and has saved us on numerous occasions this year with his tackles.
I'd love to get a decent young CB with abit of pace to play along side Clint or Nelsen. You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

But, and it pains me to say this, the way Suarez made a monkey out of Clint on Sunday, means his time to move on has come.
Rumour has it, that Neil Warnock has made an enquiry about Clint, with a view to taking him to Leeds Utd. We should finally part company now.
But, love the guy, and will always look on Clint's time here with the greatest fondness.

However his lack of pace will always be an issue when playing in the premier league.
He could probably still do a job next season, and I'd keep hold of him as a squad player when we are playing championship football next season.
Nelson has 1 more year and for me he would be immense in the championship, has enough quality's to be 1 of the best centre halfs in that league.I played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

The time to plan for a campaign in the championship, will be when that dreaded 'R' appears next to our name in the league table.

Hill and Nelsen would always be first choice CB's unless we bring someone of world quality who knows how to fight for survival,in.
Hill has been a great servant to the club along the lines of MacDonald, Barker, Ainsworth. Not the most talented of players but what you see is what you get, drive, determination, die hard spirit, captains qualities all of them. Brings the best out of others and can galvanize a team. Keep him until at lest the end of the season, I'd rather sell Ferdinand, Boswinga and send Fabio back than get rid of Clint22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!
