Was reading this thread and thought it was a joke. Seriously people were thinking this only 20 days ago.
Goes to show what a bunch of weirdo's we have as so called supporters. I'd put this guy up there as one of our best keepers we've had in my 33 years of following the R's. Bold statement I know.
I believe this guy is more decorated than any other player in the Premiership. Form is temporary, class is permanent.

all fans are entitled to their views, but mine is that he is a top class keeper who has won some points for QPR with his saves this season. A lot of the goals he has conceded have been down to defensive errors.
He is better than Green and is up there with the all time best QPR keepers.
However, if he does go, I hope QPR get a fee for him and use this to bid for Butland.

Neither keeper's goals conceded record is much use without those stats and to determine who should leave on the basis of such stats is wrong. Can you give us a shots saved to goals conceded per game ratio as well because that would make your figures a bit more analytical?
Look, I'm not saying we should keep Green over Cesar, I'm just saying your stats don't help the debate - personally, I think we should keep them both because sooner or later Julio is going to pick up a knock and there are few keepers out there I would chose over Green in those circumstances.
Did some more stat and all is in favour of Cesar
Cesar saves made 62 (3,0 per game) Green 20 (2,5)
Cesar against top/bottom 10/5 Green 3/5 big difference
Defenders Cesar/Green Onuoha 6/2, ferdinand 6/5, Hill 7/7, Fabio 4/5, Bozingwa 8/5, Nelsen 14/6 - nothing here in favour of Green
I believe statistic is a guiding tool - say Cisse scores 4 in 12 but Remy scores 8 in 12 - I would go for Remy

Strange reactions by some posters here, as if I woke up in an alternative universe today where Green is actually a better goalkeeper than Cesar. I think I feel a poll coming on...Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

At the end of the day there are always good bargain players that slip through the net of the big clubs and are missed for whatever reason. Cesar on a free transfer is one of them... .every club in the league would gladly take him tomorrow and i'd think there's only a couple where he wouldn't necessarilly become their first choice. He is class and i wouldn't be surprised if big clubs chase him in the summer, but he ain't going anywhere before then at the earliest, and i doubt anywhere then either, unless we go down.

Oh by the way: that's the best stats analysis I've seen on this site since the good old days of Sir Pie Chucker.#standuptocancer

But statistics do not tell everything. Bad goalkeepers have to make more saves than good ones.
But that is not the case here.
We need them both this season.Last edited by Timmy the Doc; 22-01-2013, 04:18 PM.

It sickens me to see so many people posting the stupid things I have read in this thread. In terms of the percentage of points that he has won for a team with his saves relative to points total, I doubt there is anyone in the league who had done as well as him. As far as I'm concerned, if you are complaining about a Goalkeeper who was the best in the world at one point and who probably has more top division silverware than all current mid table teams put together, then I seriously would consider where your support lies. The fact of the matter is that he said that he chose QPR over Arsenal because we offered him a future beyond Goalkeeping and seeing as he has been recalled to the Brazil National team, I think he knows that his best chance of a National future is with a struggling club in a top European division because then he can be more spectacular and more noticeable."What stats allow you to do is not take things at face value. The idea that I trust my eyes more than the stats, I just don't buy that because I've seen magicians pull rabbits out of hats and I know I just know that rabbit's not in there." - Billy Beane
