  • He can just about get on the bench for Morocco who are 74th in the FIFA World rankings. Scotland are 72nd.

    • He's a good player, still holds on to the ball far too long at times but overall he's a good player. He's not amazing and he'll never make it at a top club but anyone saying he's **** is talking out of their ####.

For me ability isn't in question, but it's about whether he's effective. If he played for the team and not for himself, he could be effective every game, but far too often he's not effective at all.

That's to do with his attitude more than anything!

Adel is a mediocre player overall and he'll never be more than that despite what he or anyone else believes... they wanna talk about potential - the guy is nearly 24... few more years he'll be at his peak. not saying much really is it? but like i said hes not a terrible player but like you said, hes a very poor decision maker.

it is better that you speak about something you know, what do you know about morocco!? hey, I am moroccan and we are there because of too many problems not in the players but in the federations and corruption. its very complicated and you should know morocco is in Africa and might take you lots of studies before understanding how the system works there, its different from Europe systems, mentality etc... but I assure you Adel is among the best players we have and had in this generation. the federation recruit coaches that will be toys in their hands like last one Gerets and actual one , you know that some players get called because they give bribes, presents etc to some officials ? agents on the other side etc.. its so corrupted. Adel didnt like that system and criticizes them openly in Moroccan media times ago thats why he is not wanted by some corrupted officials because thats means they will not get any richer and they cant milk people money. coaches many of them resigned because of that corruption because they can never select the players they wanted and hence they lost many stupid easy matches. and hence that 74th position , have you ever checked Moroccos position just some years back when Mr. Zaki was manager? Zaki is a honest man and fought those corrupted people but their lobby pushed him out of the job against the moroccans fans even after reaching best results in last 30 years! can you believe it.
Adel did right to not play untill they fixed that corrupted system.

Attitude problems which he suffers from because he isnt as good in reality as whats in his head. Hope he stays for the Championship next season though,,great Championship player when up against Championship players.

Agreed, but I suspect he wasn't called up for political reasons too, as rockandroll describes.

                        • Think Adel forces us to play 4-4-1-1. With a fit squad, I'd rather Zamora/Cisse up front and either leave Adel out or play him wide.
At the moment we're too reliant on him as we have no other creativity in the side. SWP and Mackie won't create **** all.

its weird, just an observation, you , mason and 3 or 4 of you on here, you come only here to slat Adel whenever he didnt score even playing with that pathetic team and defenders (I doubt you have ever kicked a ball in your lives, thats why you wouldnt understand how an attacker feels when watching a stupid mistakes from weak defenders), anyways, you show up here only for Adels critics, you forgot easly anything good and nice he has done to this club since he joined, you forgot where you came from and what/where we were playing , honestly, how many of you have ever dreamed that QPR would promote to EPL just years back?!! think about it mate, then you will realize what Adel and how valuable he is. even if you put ronaldo and messi COMBINED in this current team with that defending they wouldnt score no more than Adel and they would already retired or found themselves in mental hospital.

and another thing, when we answer your questions you just turn around and come up with some other stupid reasons to slat him! thats proove you hate him nomatter what we say and answer you , its personal and something wrong with you. I am not gonna answer you anymore because this thread becomes so personal hate and attack from 3 or 4 ill guys to our most important player.

Another Morrocoan that lives in his own world! :-)..wtf you on about? its not personal. Its just an opinion about a football player. Adel is a great Championship player but an average premiership player. Next you will be telling me Chamakh is a great player too ;-)

Too many fans expect him to do "spectacular things" and he himself tries to do spectacular things and this is the problem 90% of the time. Yes it's great when it comes off, but ffs Adel, do it in the right areas of the pitch, or when there's literally no alternative.

The problem is, especially of late after he's re-established himself as a pretty much certain starter, he's trying stuff nealy every time he gets the ball and more often than not messing it up and leaving the team at risk with players out of position when the opposition break against our already suspect defence. It doesn't help for example if Traore's bust a lung to give an option 40 yards up the left Wing, only to be ignored by Adel who loses the ball..... Good teams, like Liverpool the other day, exploit the openings and play in the holes created by such errors. The CB's then have to stretch creating a gaping hole in the heart of the defence for clever players, like Suarez, Rooney, RVP, Aguero etc etc etc to exploit to the full.

What i want is for Adel to forget the spectacular stuff and become a master of the simple things. Play the game almost within himself, which will be far more effective for the team, but also, knowing when needed he could leave someone for dead in a blink of an eye. Also, if he didn't try the tricks all the time, defending players would be less likely to expect it when he occasionally did, probably resulting in far more success.

For me there was a lesson to be learned the other day for Adel, not by Suarez who was class it has to be said, but from Gerrard. Obviously one of the best of a generation, but the other day what was so brilliant was that he made everything he did look so simple, which for a player of his talent it was, but it was simply effective for Liverpool. He doesn't need fancy tricks and 40 yard shots to standout... he does that by making the game look effortless. Adel take note and you may one day get somewhere close to his worth to a football team.
90% of the time Adel loses the ball, it is because he is trying to take someone on or doing something flash because there are hardly any options around him. When Traore gets forward, Adel usually links up well with him.
