100% right. His dead balls are pitiful. Corners never beat the first man and free kicks either into the wall or weak floating efforts with no power the keepers lap up all day long.

To be fair to Granero, when he first came and started takihng corners and Free kicks, they were good and delivered well into threatening areas, so clearly has the ability which Adel doesn't. I'm not surprosed today however, that he messed that effort up with literally hjis first kick after coming on.

I find it laughable and embarrassing that Adel acts like the hard done by child when told he's not takling a kick though, as if he's got a great track record. Even thte one he scored against Spurs last year was pretty weak and only went in becasue Friedal was an idiot for not wearing a cap and clearly saw it very late and reacted late to it.

Also, i agree with al;l comments about Adel being a liability. He did nothing good with the ball at any point in the game today. Completely inefective in posession, trying far too many tricks at the wrong times, always ignoring easy passes to try another trick himself, and his shooting is at most times utterly pathetic, to the point they normally roll to the keeper mid goal.

Also the comments about him being capable of winning a game on his own.... well the irony, is that's what he believes also, hence he never passes the bloody ball.

I'm beginning to think, very sadly, Adel might be part of our problem, not the solution. It really pains me to say that as I value him as a player and have loved having him here. Every attack we have, however, tends to go exclusively through him, especially when he plays in the middle and drops deep. Other teams know this. They mark him or they close off his options up front. He always carries the ball and never releases it if he has some space (if he hasn't he tries to make space). This slows us up everytime because it enables the other team to rally behind the ball. This means we never break at speed, never make effective use of the flanks, and spend whatever time we have on the ball trying to keep possession and probing for space which we never find...

No one will try to buy him at the moment simply because they know he is inconsistent. He plays well in on game (Fulham) and then doesn't perform for a couple of games. He is affected by his agent. Notice every time he plays well he states a top club wants him. Still has not matured as a professional PL player.

To top it all people around me actually moaned when Granero took the free kick in the second half at Tarrabts expense. I can honestly say in the last three seasons I have seen Tarrabt take hundreds of free kicks and only two have been decent.

I am sorry but anyone who can not see how he slows down attacks with his constant step overs and rolling his foot over the ball to achieve nothing simply knows nothing about football. He is by the far the most over rated Rangers player I have seen in my 40 years supporting the team and swear there are some fans who would cheer if squatted in he middle of the pitch.

Would sell in an instance but think all you deluded Tarrabt lovers will soon see that no one wants him, never did never will.

Totally agree, he seems totally wrapped up in his own hype. He was a far more valuable player at the end of our championship winning season and how many clubs came rushing in to sign him then? If he goes he will go on our terms as he is (I believe) contracted for another 3 years and after his performances last season and this his value has probably gone down. We really do need to get honest and cut out this "Tarrabts to good for you" - its cringeworthly, embarrassing and laughable - always has been.

a moroccan proverb says : "when a cow (victim/sacrifice) falls down , you gotta lots of knifes around ready" so now Adel is the scapegoat? and bizarely some posters like vblockranger / paulmason .. they dnt post only if there is something racist or insulting adel? I m thinking you are just either racists or jelous or whatever and I dnt give a ****.

with that team even if you bring messi and ronaldo combined they wouldnt score a single goal. how many times Adel initiated a great attack pasing and making space and then at the end a flat foot player either missplace the last pass or loose it in control or first touch? I mean we alll who played football we know how it feel, if I were Adel I would be ****ed off. those players are just regression for adel and not at his level. we will all regret and see what adel really is when he moved on to some bigger stable club inj where he can trust and learn from bigger players. hell , I feel that in this team they all learning from him! even mackie/ SWP mbia etc.. tries to emulate his moves and dribbles but they dnt succeed!

What a bizarre thread. Adel was excellent yesterday, once again. He was constantly playing clever balls forward, or getting past the first man to get Liverpool on the back foot. Don't blame him for the lack of movement around and in front of him.

Goodness, an 'anti' Adel post with a decent argument behind it!

I agree to an extent, but I think the problem here is that our wingers offer minimal attacking threat, Cisse couldn't be arsed, and Diakite and Mbia rarely made good runs beyond Adel. It's hard to 'break with speed' when Mackie is the only player on the team willing to break into a sprint to get ahead of the defenders. I can think of several instances where we turned over possession, played it to Adel, and suddenly it was 6 pool defenders vs Cisse and Mackie who were busy marking defenders.

There's a reason 'all our attacks keep going through Adel' - because he always offers himself up for a pass. Watch him constantly floating around looking for space between the CMs and Cisse, and ask yourself why Mackie and SWP are rarely in these sort of positions. Adel's movement is particularly noticeable when Granero or Faurlin are playing behind him. Diakite, Mbia and Derry simply aren't as good at getting the ball to him, hence Adel dropping deeper.
