QPR are hoping to kick off their January spending with a double deal for out-of-favour Chelsea winger Marko Marin and West Ham star Mohamed Diame.
Harry Redknapp is desperate to add to his options in the new year in a bid to help the club avoid relegation, and is rumoured to be targeting up to five new players.
Marseille striker Loic Remy and the much travelled Nicolas Anelka are his top two priorities, but with negotiations dragging on, Redknapp has reportedly opted to peruse other deals first.
According to the German media, QPR have lodged a loan offer for flop Chelsea winger Marin, which is being seriously considered.
The German flyer has struggled for match time since his switch from Werder Bremen, and Redknapp apparently wants the wideman to provide service for his goal-shy strikers.
Elsewhere, QPR have also lodged an offer with West Ham for their powerful midfielder Diame, who has recently been linked with both Arsenal and Newcastle.
The deal is complicated by the fact that Diame is currently out injured long-term, and would be little use to QPR in their upcoming games.
West Ham are yet to announce whether they have accepted or rejected the bid, but Sam Allardyce could use the funds as he bids to land Andy Carroll on a permanent basis.
Marin is top class, just hasn't had many chances to prove himself at Chelsea due to Mata, Oscar, Hazard etc.. He can play on either wing and up front and has the nickname 'The German Messi' !
