I prefer the likes of Austin. have something to prove in the Premier, unlike most of the superstars we are being linked with. We must remember our own DJ who is also doing well in the CC. Add BZ late in Januarya and we will have 4 good strikers fighting for two spots. Now that can make a difference.

We need a striker who can bang in the goals now.....I would have Austin as well but not to rely on, with a bit of training with the team he could be a revelation.

Can't see it really. He's young with a future ahead of him and isn't injury prone. So doesn't match our criteria

The rest of the team don't know what a striker looks like let alone where the box is.

If we had the time to imbed him in the ELP then I would be happy. However, would be delighted with him if we are in the Championship next year or building for the future.

If we are looking to build a team, if we are in the Championship, then these are type of players I would love to see at the club as they are young and have ability which is in contrast to some of the players we have now who are past their best and injury prone.

Decent Championship player, would seem to indicate a considered long term approach as well at the club. Shame we didn't sign him first time round when we had the chance to be honest. Not really sure how good he'll be in the Prem but he'll certainly get us promoted.

QPR have edged back in front of Monaco as the 15/8 favourites to sign David Beckham. Meanwhile, Arsenal are now 4/1, while Tottenham are 28/1. !!!!

I cannot understand all the fuss about lack of Premiership experience. Do we have experience in our squad....of course we have, Bosignwa, Cisse, Ferdinand, Green. SWP, Zamora, Johnson, Young, Fabio, Traore.......do I have to name more. Where did they get us? Bring players that are young, have something to prove and are injury free.

agree with all that - an example would be someone like Pilkington at Norwich, who I admit struck me as a non signing by them at the time when he went there from Huddersfield - he's doing ok in the prem and getting fair share of goals. These are the types we now need.

Not only that but he would want to make his mark as a Prem player and should QPR go down he would've an asset in the Championship.

I always thought Pilkington looked a good prospect and am not surprised at how well he has adapted.
I think Austin is a player who can also make the step up.
