BIg risk as they'd demand a big fee and hes unproven in the prem.

If he comes i would honestly think it's blind faith hoping he scores in the prem, but knowing he can in the Championship should the worst happen.

We have 19 games left, that's all, no more, no less.
How many games would you happily watch Austin firing blanks, before the clock has ticked down sufficiently to have the alarm bells going, then?
With me, the alarm bells are already ringing with a deafening din.
If we signed Austin, he would have to hit the ground running pretty much straight away.
If we can get somebody like Demba Ba, then we must. At least we know he's more than capable of scoring in the premiership, the gamble, if any, negligible.

We need the finished article. A striker that will hit the ground running.
Austin would be a huge risk, at a time where we need a sure-fire certainty to start banging in the goals immediately.
I think what it is some fans have seen young players succeed at Swansea for example and want to skip straight to that without bothering with all the years of work that went into building it up to create an environment for success that young players can thrive in.
Is it really a good environment at QPR right now where they might learn how to refuse to sit on the bench maybe, how to eat meals in your car so you don't have to mix with your teammates, how to call the FA in to referee disputes between players, not forgetting the old favourite of how to suck at football and still drive a flash car.
I think they miss that it takes time and getting some good experienced lads in can stabilise the club and improve the atmosphere and get the team functioning on and off the pitch better so that in future the guy who brought through Lampard and Ferdinand generation of young WHU players can do the same at QPR.

Even though Ba has failed his medical wherever he goes? What if we sign him up on a 4 year deal and he's out fr rest of the season? Much less risk on Austin IMO, and would be cheaper also who if he proves successful will have a sell on fee, another advantage he has over Ba. Plus nobody is saying es being signed to fire the goals that will keep us up, but I genuinely have a good feeling about him. Remember when he was at I think Swindon he was scoring some crazy good goals and we got linked with him back then. He has scored wherever hes been and I think he will do the same fr us. Matty Phillips is another great shout. Why the hell we weren't in for these type of players originally I'll never know. Even the likes of Kightly

If were looking at young players who could make an impact with a low risk in the event we go down what about a cheeky loan move for Scot Sinclair. Not getting a game at Man City was decent last season, has skill, pace and can find the back of the net

              Absolutely spot on.
There is a time and place for everything.
But, this isn't the time, and QPR isn't the place, to start buying, then playing, inexperienced young players whose only experience of the premiership, is watching Match Of The Day on a Saturday night.

I mentioned Sinclair before and got ignored. A loan is Win-Win for both clubs aswell. He is so good at coming in off the wing, would give Hoilett, Taarabt and SWP a kick up the Harris

Would Ba care about us though? Would he work his knackers off go the cause? IMO the answer is no, where as if you watch Austin play he is an absolute nuisance, someone who doesn't stop running and harassing defenders, but a good finisher to match

I'm not disputing that Austin is a fine young talent, just that his inexperience of top flight football may be all we need to firmly bang the nails into our premier league coffin this year.
What I'm saying is, we should pull out all the stops to get a goalscorer with a proven premier league record.
I don't know if Ba cares about Newcastle, or if he ever did to begin with, but his goalscoring record is impressive.

Fair do, I would of course love him here but I think he would be signing for all the wrong reasons ie more money, otherwise why the hell would you leave St James Park for Loftus Road? Especially as he's been linked to even bigger clubs than them. Just seems dodgy to me.
Agree with what you say though, his scoring record is very good

That is very good logic - makes sense!

Ba is playing with a knee condition and has played with it at West Ham and Newcastle. I can guarantee if he was to sign it would go as I am afraid that is how things work at Rangers. We have also spent the season moaning about strikers signing with suspect injury records but we appear to be in for one who failed the medical at Stoke and openly admits playing from game to game. If we are going to spunk £7.5mil (release clause) lets get someone without the risk or two quality players instead in my book

Hes the type of player we should be signing and getting the manager and coaches, who are at the top of their game to get them firing. Forget the anelkas, Qaresmas, Villas , Bas, remy of this world. We need players who will see QPR as a step up and be motivated to perform.
