Yeah he was fouled, but he shouldn't have even been near a position to be fouled.
The best thing about being a goalkeeper is that they have carte blanche. Green could have pushed Fortune, kneed him in the back and punched him in the face and no referee will ever give a penalty against a goalkeeper in that position. When corners and free kicks come in, keepers can do whatever the hell they like and get away with it. If Clint Hill at centre back puts too much pressure on a striker in an aerial challenge he will get caught for it, but a goalie never would. This is why I don't get with all his years of experience why Green tries to ballet dance around the striker? He gets himself in a shocking position inside his goal but he's got plenty of time to correct it and he just doesn't. He can't just expect Fortune to do him a favour and walk away.
Now what I don't get is why keepers are so delicate nowadays? They get so much protection from referees yet they don't take advantage of it. They *****foot around people, fall on the floor and expect a free kick all the time. I just wondered if anyone has any theories why keepers never have the guts to throw themselves about because Green, as overrated as he is, is not the only keeper in the prem who doesn't put himself about and I just don't understand.
