I do feel sorry for Cisse, as I think he has been trying, it's just that our team is not suited for his game. If he was playing for someone like Spurs, I am sure he would be doing well - he is a quality finisher. But for us, it sadly isn't happening.
Kinda scary though.

I think most of us would agree that Cisse is a quality finisher, but it is also true that we may benefit from another striker. We certainly can't afford Suarez himself (nor would he be willing to come here), but that's not what Marshy was asking for. He wanted a Suarez-type striker, which, granted, may still be hard to find at an affordable price, and it may be hard to convince such a talent to come to our team at this point except with lots of money.
I think that adding a reliable winger may be just as important as adding a good striker, but if we do buy a winger instead of a striker, we may seriously need to consider giving Taarabt more of a goal-getter's role, rather than a winger. I think Taarabt has the ability to provide decent service, but I don't think he really wants to be in that role. He wants to be the team's star, not the silent supporting player who gets things done.
@ vblock, as I said it's scary to rely on Park or Hoilett at this point, and it's not very likely they'll perform as well as we need, but Park in his best form (as unlikely as it is that he'll regain it), would make a huge difference. I still think it's better to buy a new winger who is also proven and currently consistent, than to simply rely on Park and Hoilett et al.Last edited by Joon; 27-12-2012, 01:58 AM.

Cisse isn't the problem, it's our sheit team that can't create chances. He's on his own most of the time and chasing 'hail marys", no wonder he's offside so often trying to extract any advantage.
Let's face it we are shiit and can't supply a striker with a fart. it's embarrassing to see the ineptitude of a talentless bunch of clueless plankton.

Been saying all along play ball to feet & he will at least hit the target if not score, how often do we see these balls played to him? Once twice every 2-3 games maybe. It's embarrassing. I saw big balls lumped up to SWP at times yesterday against a 6 foot defender!! Now that's clueless football.

On at least a few occations Taraabt should have passed to Cisse, But as per usual he decided to do a step over instead.Have to say, I´m getting a bit bored of his step-overs now. Especially when he announce them on print; so to speak.
Taraabt IS our far most intellligent fotballer ATM, so just why can´t he pick a simple pass to a better placed Cisse when that obviously is the right thing to do...
This really irritates me..QPR
Best team in the world
Sort of

Jesus Christ our fans make me laugh. Because Cisse doesn't get the ball outside the box, beat 3 players and top corner it then he can't be what we need? I'd say Cisse is one of the best finishers in the bottom half of the table. Yes he has his flaws, and to be fair quite a few of them but how many teams bar the top 8 sides have players that can do what you mention? Cisse needs the right service. How many chances did we create today? How many times did the ball go in their box? Cisse is lazy but I'm pretty sure he can still be affective and with the right service score goals.
Seriously though, Cisse is a good clinical finisher when players create a chance for him. Mbia's pass was excellent, but unfortunately these type of passes are few and far between.
Cisse could also do with more support in attack (someone who creates space or occupies defenders in a way that Crouch does).
Taarabt can create chances, but more often than not he dwells on the ball too long or tries to go it alone. He did set up Cisse at Newcastle, but Krul pulled off a good save. Taarbat needs to do more of this.
I do expect Redknapp to sign at least one striker next month and hopefully this will help QPR to win matches, but getting rid of Cisse is not the solution.

I mean, if we can afford to give players like Bosingwa 65,000 a week and spend 9 million on Granero who doesn't even play, then I am sure we can find a decent young striker from abroad for 4-5 million.
