So one day Redknapp is complaining that other clubs and agents are upping the fees they're demanding for our potential transfer targets and the next he's telling the world that we won't be duped like we have been in the past.

Surely that's no coincidence and is entirely sensible in the circumstances. He says exactly what we're all thinking as fans and lowers the expectations of those we way to buy from in one go.

Couldn't agree more! He sent a little message a week or so ago (albeit in a very passing statement) that Adel was worth £20m which must have been a message to anyone trying to lure him away. He is a master at using statements in the press (like him about to take the Ukraine job) to get what he wants.

I hope these words don't come back to bite me on the bottom - but I trust him!
