  • Who would want to play is right now?

We go up to Newcastle were we gave a half decent account of ourselves last year on the back of our best run since the Championship.

Obviously teams like Utd/City will be 100% confident (or at least 99%) of getting a result against us but what about the others?

I know we're right down there, not claiming that we've been on some 10 game winning streak...however, surely the Toons are not looking at the game tomorrow with bags of confidence. granted we've not won in the league away - but that can change....just like we hadn't won in the league at all until last week.

I just question whether we will be able to keep riding this wave of optimism.

I don't think many teams would tbh. Dont get me wrong I'm not gettng carried away after 1 win thinking we're unbeatable - but we're a side with obvious potential we had failed to fulfill under Hughes, but we have a new found fire in our bellies now under Arry, unbeaten in his 4 games and fresh off the back of our first win with team morale seemingly at a massive high and fans right behind the team. I know it's at their place, but at the moment Newcastle are the complete opposite to us with their form and I don't think they're looking forward to our visit at all - they know we're guna be right up for it and all the pressure is on them.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Well their manager has already called this a "must win game" for them, which either suggests he is v v confident or a bit stupid adding extra pressure on themselves.

I think Arry's going to put togheter a defensive-minded side as he'll be satisfied with a draw. That'll do it for me.

well this is our last chance to win an away game in the year 2012...i know we have improved but is it enough to beat Newcastle? if they play in the poor form they have been the last few weeks then maybe imo.
