We have higher aspirations (thats what MH said anyway) it's just that we're not reaching them yet.

I'd treat this as a piece of tosh like the news of them thinking they'd beat us! The only thing they have over us is that they are slightly more established in this league than us. If we survive this season you'll start us evolve.

Hate to stick up for Fulham here but when you say we have higher aspirations, maybe Fulham have just grown a bit more realistic over the years that they have been in the prem. when fayed took over he came out with even more nonsense than Briatore (he wanted to make Fulham "the Manchester Utd of the south", which still makes me laugh) but despite spending heavily in their early years in the top flight he soon realised it was impossible for a cr*p little club like Fulham to ever do much more than hold its own in the prem, maybe have a dash at a cup competition or once a decade qualify for a minor European competition. And at that they have been very successful, punching well above their weight. Unless Mittel suddenly goes mental and throws a fortune at us (which so far he has shown no inclination to do) we would be doing very well to follow the Fulham model over the next decade or so.
