Given the choice I think Harry would like to keep both keepers as it is one of the few strong areas in the squad and use them according to form but in long stretches because you cannot change every week. At present Green has the shirt.

My only fear is that Green plays really well but drops clangers on a very regular basis. West Ham fans will tell you that.
What he is, is no thrills, comes for crosses to take pressure off defenders, consistent match defining saves (reaction against Sunderland anyone? or maybe he should push it into 'safe' areas) it will be your best chance of staying up having somebody consistent between the sticks, a flash Brazilian goalkeeper who had never heard of QPR before the summer won't do it. He was an England goalkeeper as chosen by arguably the most successful manager in world football, he would have been good for a penalty save or two without doubt this summer!
Enjoy the fact you haven't got Paddy Kenny in goal, one of the most deplorable footballers in the country.
Enjoy the fact you have someone who will stick his head in where it hurts and not dangle a cheeky Brazilian leg out to avoid contact.
Enjoy the fact you have someone who has the b*llocks to stand up when it matters.

So are you saying he didn't drop clangers for you? Because he did. And there were West Ham fans happy to see him go. Not saying he is rubbish, just my veiw is that Cesar is a better goalkeeper overall.
Goalies will divide opinion because they can play really well but a simple mistake can cost the game far more than an outfield player who can often get away with 8, 9 , 10 mistakes a game. We have all seen the lack of concentraion Green is capable of for England and very early on at QPR.

There will always be a minority happy to see even a worshiped player leave, there are fans at our club who despise Di Canio - where to others he is a hero. Green's consistency, which resulted in England caps, is actually due to his excellent concentration and his decision making.
His career, especially with us, was not defined by the odd 'clanger' he dropped for us. In being a season ticket holder since 2006, I saw more mistakes from Roy Carroll (Current champions league and international number 1 goalkeeper) in one season than Green in 5. I can remember....a mistake in the cup with Yakubu, possibly pushed a shot out further in the game we lost 4-3 to spurs - and that is splitting hairs! I remember him kicking a left footed back pass against someone, Kenwyne Jones possibly which resulted in a throw in....should have got down to N'Zogbia goal the game we went down at Wigan.
If he makes 1 mistake a year, I think that a ratio any realist goalkeeper around the world would take. I myself personally work with the best young goalkeepers in the country at one of your local rivals with plenty of cash, and we use Robert Green's temperament especially with the young goalkeeper as a model to use themselves. We do not encourage Cesar's 'push into safe areas' as it tells the goalkeeper to sweep the danger under the carpet, instead of stopping the dangerous situation before it escalates. Sound fair?
Its unfortunate to see that a lot of fans expect the goalkeeper to stand out from the crowd, a Brazilian from Inter Milan who dribbles around strikers, spins the ball out to the full back like Shane Warne, and fly's like an Olympian gymnast - will always be a favorite to any team.
BUT. Give me Mr.Reliable over Mr.Eccentric in goal every time, the top clubs will tell you that too. Why isn't he still at Inter Milan again?
Saying that, i'd rather have Cesar than Jussi :zombie:
