  • Warnock............still bitter!

Neil Warnock has accused QPR of 'losing the soul of the club' after they sacked him as manager despite the fact he was doing a 'miracle job'.

Becoming so boring with him. Can't he just move on and focus on Dirty Leeds!
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

Obvious he still cares about the club and to be honest, cant argue with most of what he said

They've not got any better and are using my players rather than some of the millionaires

I dont think he's bitter and I dont find it particularly boring either. He's just calling it as he is. I doubt we'd be in the mess we are now if he hadn't been sacked and I agree with him that the soul went out of the club with the "mercenary" buys under Hughes. I also suspect Fernandes now regrets sacking him with the benefit of hindsight and its becoming clearer that Amit was never in favour of his sacking either.

He's right actually.......but he now needs to move on with Leeds. Remember he kept harking on about Palace when he first came to QPR!

I don't think he has set out to criticise, more likely just responding to the same old questions.

At the end of the day, it is a results business. And however he would choose to dress it up, his last couple of months were abysmal, so cannot really complain. We were getting worse and worse, with no signs of improvement.

He is right with what he says and it is sickening the way we have become a gravy train for some very average over aged players.

I do believe though that finally we have the right man for the job in Arry boy.

Hopefully the owners will have learned a lesson now when January comes around. We might need a few additions but we need to spend wisely if at all possible.

Listen Dave, you're a loyal fan that travels the country following the hoops, so that I respect but he gave us a superb year of football and achieved the impossible, I think Neil deserves far more respect than you show him.

You wouldn't have had the joy of going to the big stadiums if it wasn't for him, think you need to be forever thankful to the bloke and very disappointed to see yet another fan slating him.

Warnock is a legend for what he achieved
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I think Warnock has a fair point and the owners and Philip B did get initially sucked in and a star struck, not realising that money may get big names but not loyalty or commitment and ultimately send the club backwards at great expense. One thing I remember thinking 'Ouch!' on, as I suspect Warnock probably blew a gasket at (as his technical guys were about six rows behind), was in the Norwich game where Barton got sent off.

Ten minutes later Barton is in the directors seats providing a running commentary for Philip Beard, pointing out this and that on the pitch and shaking his head. And we all know what Joey thought of Warnock. There's no way a player, least of all one who has just been red carded, should have the ear of the CEO like that at any club, it absolutely undermines the manger. A week later Warnock was gone and we all know what Joey came here for as he said it himself.

The it went the other way - they gave Hughes full rein and listened to his bull about gelling players, it taking time, but there was no strategy. Hoillet came for the money and only because we offered the most. Players like Onuhua and green were signed on massive wages and then the coach decides he doesn't fancy them and brings in more players and the ultimate result of discontent in the dressing room.

Fact is for all the players Hughes signed six of the starting XI on Saturday were signed by Warnock and Green and Onuhua had been signed and written off by Hughes and reinstalled by harry

Even if he is bitter I feel he has every right to be. He was fantastic for us. And regardless what people say he done very well with the team he had in the prem. some fans should show more respect to the bloke for what he did for us.

Warnock will always be a legend in my eyes.

Totally agree with this. He has every reason to be "bitter" as some people are saying, as he did a hell of a lot for our club and got booted out pretty quickly with no real loyalty being shown. Unfortunately that is the way of the modern game.

If I had achieved the equivalent of what he did at my work and then got sacked I would be mightily pis5ed off too.

Not saying I am not happy with where we are now, with Harry, but do feel for Warnock as he maybe didn't deserve his sacking.

Agreed. I've been saying this since NW was sacked: If Tony had come in 2 weeks earlier that summer, we would have finnished mid-table and NW would still be our manager.
