Also a very good pass early in the game to Cisse who miscues his volley.
Faurlin's passing was not great today, but it is usually very good along with his running, tackling and ball winning.

As I said before saying Faurlin was MOTM is laughable and an insult to Taarabt!

Faurlin was my joint MOTM today with Adel....Dont know why people moaning about his passing today? Adel misplaced loads of passes in first half but makes up for it with his dribbling skills and technique. Faurlin bossed the midfield. If Adel had pace and improved his passing and shooting he would be one of the best players in the world....and he wouldnt be playing for us :-)

Harry knows who to start depending on the opponents. That's make him a good manager. imo Faurlin plays well at Loftus Road and that's why he started.

Its because the old championship tandem worked like a rocket today, Faurlin and Taarabt have a great understanding and allows Taarabt to play further on the pitch as he knows Faurlin will find him.

Good game yesterday. Great tackler, great awareness, good passer of the ball. Not the fastest but hey, he knows it and with three in the middle and one of them M`bia, it´s not that important.

You forgot the 'IMO' bit Dazzer

Had Adel not had a poor spell for the last 20 mins of the 1st half he'd have also got my MOM.

Ale, OTOH, was consistently good for the entire 90 mins.

Bear in mind too that any player returning from a ruptured ACL will always be half a yard slower for a while, but given time Ale will get that back as he's still young enough.

He was a couple of yards too slow before his ACL from being a top quality midfielder. Put it in perspective, he's had one good game all season. If he plays against a quick centre midfielder who shuts him down quickly he'll get found out. Happy to retract this statement if he proves me wrong but I'm judging him on this over a number of games not just one. If he had two more yards of pace he could be a top Premiership player. I don't want him to fail just saying it how I see it. How did you rate him after the Southampton game I wonder??

Faurlin is best suited for a formation with 3 CMF. When we´re using that formation he usually is playing well.

Fair point about his pace but it could be argued that his excellent vision and reading of the game compensates for that.

Southampton game was a different matter, the whole team were poor then and the internal problems within the camp under MH were evidently affecting team morale and perfromances.

On a separate issue, hypothetical I know but I cant help wondering had AJ not got injured and he'd continued his good early season form and BZ partnership, would our season so far have been very different and MH still have been manager...

Mbia and Nelsen had better games than Faurlin. Taarabt was clearly MOTM. However we have missed Faurlin and I'd have him ahead of granero for his all round play.

Dazzer, if you fail to recognize we are much more of a team yesterday with Faurlin i rest my case.

                            If you agree read further....

You are right he was not to his best in the game against Southampton , but then again you forgot easily his superb performance against Spurs.
Think of him like a diesel, needs time to get warm but then at temperature he is working like a clockwork.
Also don 't forget he was our best player at the begin of last season before he got that injury, attracting interest from other clubs.
His stats are very impressive as a midfielder, agreed no showboot like Adel but he doesn't need to at his position.
Agree with someone else mentioning if he got more speed he wouldn't be at QPR at present.
                            From Holland with love

That was like Faurlin last year! He was always playable and chased backwards too. He's been poor all season, but was very good yesterday!
