They all got mugged off and shipped out along with the manager that won us promotion. That's how we treat the best team we've had in years.

Apart from Helguson I'm not sure how many of the promoted team we'd still want around the team to be fair. Perhaps Gorkss just to stop him scoring against us every 5 minutes!

Kenny and Smith started off well but I think we were right to move them on in the summer.

Bradley Orr - No thanks, we were smart to let Blackburn take him in January.

Matt Connolly struggled in the Championship during our promotion season at times, imagine him against a beast like Benteke. We'd be scraping him off the pitch after every match.

Then there's Fitz Hall, hardly a fans favourite! People couldn't wait to get rid.

Buzsacky - He was a bench warmer both last year and for a lot of the promotion season. Apart from his goal against Wigan last year he didn't really do much last season. Cover at best. The fact that he's at Barnsley now probably says it all.

Completely and utterly agree. the Dewy eyed rose tinted sentimentalism of people on here is unbelievable. The Team that got us up would have taken us straight back down. People on Here were slagging them all off...kenny..hill..derry..orr..smith..hall...taara bt ..mackie..connelly...and even the untouchable..faurlin have all been given it both barrels on this board.

Come on! anyone who knows anything about football can spot the difference In quality between the Prem and the Championship. Some Player plateau at a certain level..and all of those players are Championship players at best!

Thats why we got SWP, Zamora, Bosingwa, Barton,Ferdinand, Cisse, AJ for this so called PL experience right?
Look how well we are doing now.
Board and fans thinking only in PL experience with new targets got us into trouble in the first place.

Let me ask you this 3London; Where you also one of the fans laughing out of arrogance towards Swansea and Norwich cause they didn't buy NAMES like we did but had a more sensible approach in their transfer deals ?

Shouldv'e have sold Helguson and shouldn't have bought injury prone Zamora and Johnson but clueless Hughes has his favourite players from previous clubs. Give me a fit DJ Campbell over them. I am surpsied Hulse is still in our books!

Connolly, Orr and Buzsaky never were good for the PL.

Smith was a good back up but after signing many midfielders, he had to go.

Kenny always wanted to follow Warnock I guess.

Not at all...i think that the approach of both Norwich and Swansea is the right one. the crucial point is they both have had decent young managers and a set of fans who backed them. And a long period of stability behind them. I think the problem lays firmly with hughes and his scatter gun approach to transfers and team selection.

                      Glad we do agree 3London.

Such a shame NW was not given money and time to build his desired squad due to FB and BE.
Then being forced to have a big gamble on players who were not welcome anymore at their own club Ferdinand (sunderland), Barton (newcastle), SWP (manchester city).

                        Agree.

We have probably had more misses than hits when it comes to transfers!

                        Hits.

                        Nelson
AJ (had he not got injured)
                        Traore (as a Left winger)
                        Green
                        Cisse (some of the time!)
                        Dyer (when Fit)
                        Zamora (when Fit)

                        Misses

                        SWP
                        Ferdinand
                        Traore (as a Left Back)
                        Boswinga
                        Cisse (most of the Time!)
                        Onuha

Granero and Park are the the Most frustrating..they could both be great for us but have yet to perform for one reason or the other!

They have a team get promoted to the EPL, Reading, and the others are at Cardiff.
