As you all know, it is a rather depressing time for us rangers fans. BUT although I'm pretty much convinced were going down, I feel there has been some major signs of improvement since Harry Joined, i.e 3 games unbeaten. So anyways I started sifting through google to try find some stats and came upon this:

QPR are the first top-flight team since Sheffield United in 1990-91 to fail to win any of their opening 16 games. The Blades won their 17th at home to Nottingham Forest 3-2 and went on to finish 13th in the table

Obviously I'm interested in the underlined area of this STAT. I didn't think it was possible but sheffield united have proved it back then. Does this mean there is a CHANCE??!?! Oh what it is to be a rangers fan

Well you have to remember that losing points to Southampton, Reading & West Ham were during Hughes Reign. We should look different under Harry Redknapp so don't be surprised If we start to pick up points from the likes of Man City, Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool & Spurs.

There is still hope, but it really is dwindling. If we had not had such a poor start an away point at Wigan and Sunderland would look like decent results. The fact we didn't get three against Villa was more of a blow.

They were 3 winable games and we have some tough runs coming up.

Get Cisse back in form and he can shoot us to safety. (If only)

Just image If Taarabt had scored that sitter against Reading. What difference it would have made?

There is still hope without doubt. People need to forget trying to 2nd guess what points total they THINK may be needed and whether or not we'll make that hypothetical magic number.

All we need to worry about is the points difference to 17th place and whatever that is at any time during the remainder of the season. At this time its 8 points. Can we make that up over the season, of course we could with some momentum.

If anyone needs inspiration, look no further than Norwich. A while back they looked woeful and leaked 6, 4 etc and everyone thought they would drop for sure.... 8 games later they've won 4, drawn 4 and probably about 10 points more than teams doen there.... So of course we can make 8 up in 22 games.

The only difference is they looked poor before their luck changed, where in most games we've looked decent.

Also Southampton have won 3 games in recent weeks.... Nothing decided yet!

In all honesty the Villa game kind of got me prepared for relegation, dawned on me that it seems to be in the stars for us to go down this year, however good the players we brought in (or at least how good we thought they were!).

After every game that passes we fail to win in the heat of the moment I say to myself "great, Champioship here we come" but then come the Tuesday or Wednesday I have a renewed optimism and convince myself that we will win the next game and begin our fightback! Until we are mathematically down, I will always find some optimism and tell myself we will survive. Think its probably a case of head telling me to be a realist and accept we will probably go down by the heart fighting off that thought and telling me we're QPR and we do things the hard way!

It is just the way we do it that we will have a shocking run and not win a game for a few more games, even the most optimictic fans we will accept we're down and then we will pull some crazy form out the blue, beat a few big boys and pull off a great escape :drunk:

all still there to be played for, unless the bookies paid out for man ure winning the prem today which i doubt. unbeaten run continues and our next opponents have worse form than us at the minute.
