  • Rob Green Interview

Rob Green remembers the precise moment when his world turned upside down at Queens Park Rangers, as news of Julio Cesar's arrival flickered across his TV screen.

Doesnt make Hughes look any better than he is already viewed in these parts

That was a good, honest read.

That shows how bad a person Mark Hughes is, extremly narsty thing to do & i'm so glad Rob's had a chance to shine in the last 3 games, I think he's been brilliant & not a chance Cesar will walk back in the team, not a chance. Top lad, top keeper Rob, only worry is fans getting on his back in Home games. If we are as good as we say we are Rob will not be judged on the early days & will be judged on the present, kept us in the game against Sunderland & Wigan for sure.

Also in that artical it said Rob was told he wasn't going to be the no.1 goalie before the Man City game even kicked off. To say I hate Hughes is being kind but my word that is shocking, I know Rob's a pro but i'd rather the team lost against Man City to make it harder for Hughes, why would he even want to pull on the shirt? I feel a lot of hate for Hughes right now to be honest
      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
      And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Totally agree . Hughes is a bag of s*** . Robs always been proun to the odd mistake but is ultimately a quality keeper . Hope Hughes never works again

Horrible man, Hughes. Horrible talentless jerk. We've had our share of sh1te managers, but we've never had a more malignant, wretched and destructive one than Hughes. He's left us on our knees. The high point of this season has been him being fired. It's a tragedy it didn't happen after the Swansea and West Ham games. It should have happened at HT against Southampton.

Agree mate , hated flavio for his trigger finger and admire tony for his loyalty but I often wonder what could have been if a decent manger had been given the funds that that div had . Can't change the past but we can get behind the boys and try and influence the future, a hostile loftus road is our only hope now but what a weapon to have at our disposal . About time we started using it

That was a good read and probably goes a ways in explaining why this squad has been this dysfunctional so far! I know they are all pros and have to deal with stuff but I'm sure Green has a mate or two in the squad that was unhappy with the way Hughes was doing things!

I enjoyed reading that, I hope both keepers get a chance to play.

Green has done well and made some superb saves today.

I am now more thankful for getting rid of Hughes. How ridiculous to tell Green BEFORE the Man City game he was not going to play the next game??? terrible effect on morale!

How Hughes is portrayed in this is basically the same as I have been advised by one of our squad family members. No man management skills, offish, arrogant who broke team moral and likes the smell of his own Sh.it

Shame he never went earlier before the Reading game so Harry had a fighters chance

We should have had a socialworker and an expert on cultural diversity at the club. ATM, I suspect there still is chaos at the club. The Green situation is just the tip of the iceberg, I bet.

Green was immense yesterday and should be our number 1.

Agreed! Green is a better allround keeper.

Sorry, he has done better but I do not rate him and have never thought he was a premier goalie. He is gaff prone and position play is weak. He may have been England's second choice but that is no big deal these days as England are an average international team with average players who are over hyped by the press in this country.

I don't think there's any doubt green isn't PL quality - just speak to any Wet Spam fan . Yes he had had the odd gaff but so does every keeper - Greens just seem to be highlighted alot more by the media since his gaff for England.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
