  • The View From Wigan

I saw this posted on anther forum by a Wigan fan, I'm inclined to agree with most of what he said, although he is incredibly emotive about Cisse - but he has a point about his attitude.

For me, he makes an interesting point about Granero, he does seem to lack any stamina, I thought that against Reading and Southampton, he tired incredibly quickly.

What do the rest of you make of his points? Give me your opinions as fans and as impartial spectators.

    Extremely frustrating.

Were on top first half, second half was total domination.
We played ping pong with the goal posts, Green made a string of fine saves, wasted several shooting opportunities by trying to walk it into the net and our shooting was poor.

We gifted QPR the point, at 1-1 had so many chances to go 2/3/4-1 up, spurned them, then at 2-2 had several chances to go 3/4-2 up. We were our own worst enemies today.

Gifted them a second goal, with what was an extremely rare venture past the half way line.
We keep making individual mistakes for goals, and it's a different player each time. We keep conceding 2 goals each match, collectively as a team we're actually defending quite well throughout the 90 minutes which is frustrating when a player who is superb for 90 minutes makes just 1 mistake, we seem to get punished by every mistake every game.

QPR look incredibly poor, all over the place defensively. No creativity in midfield and very little substance up front.

Thought M'Bia looked unbelievably appalling, kept losing possession, constantly fouling and constantly throwing tantrums and giving dissent to the officials. Granero came on as a sub, 10 minutes later was absolutely knackered. Is he a heavy smoker or just very unfit?

Thought the referee Dowd, actually for once had a very good display for 93 minutes, but I need to see MOTD for what looked like a stone wall penalty on Gomez, in the 94th, looked to be absolutely cleaned out by a sliding tackle with the ball nowhere near the defender.

Nice to see Cisse living up to his reputation of beating up children and women, after he deliberately smashed the ball at a young ball boy from 5 yards after he got tackled. What a pathetic human.

About Cisse, no doubt. About M'Bia, I agree with him. Stephane looked clumsy today.

Agreed. Could it be that he was a bit vary of his neck injury last week. I think so. He didn´t really find his position today.

Nelsens 93rd minute tackle was a beauty
              Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
              And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

thought we couldve lost the game in minute 45-65, although their 2nd was thanks to a corner which wasnt. i felt a bit agrieved by todays refing i think decisions for minor infingments were given wigans way and not ours. we couldve won the game in the 1st half but didnt, our fault entirely. it worries me that the best crosses into the oppositions area come from the man that should be at the receiving end of them; cisse even though his attitude stinks at the moment. im sick of seeing our players appeal for decisions that arent given, stop moaning and get on with the game as david bumble lloyd says. i still feel granero is a luxury we can ill afford, we need to play cut throat football not slow the game down and let the opposition have all the time in the world to regroup. the comentator today was a right farkin plonker even heaped praise on wigan players when they passed the ball to us. its 3 games unbeaten, i still dont think were gone, but there has to be a distinct improvement in attitude (as much as i applaud mackies attitude i dont think it helps us playing him for 90mins). rant over

I don't even know why I am on here tonight. I've really given up on us this season with this bunch, although well done Nelson. Great player that was a freebie. Sum's up football these days
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Gomez dived in the hope of getting a last ditch penalty, he knows Wigan are crap more often than they are good, and dropping 2 points against us isn't a good result for them, even if they had to come from behind.
Wigan are alright, but will still be in the relegation mix come April/May.
