    Do you go to games?
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Not a Tarrabt hater at all just believe all players should be treated the same and get tied of fans, both those who attend games and those who don't be blinkered by the the flashy side of football and missing all the important bits such as positioning, angles and distances, awareness of opportunities etc. Would love him to prove me wrong and steer us to safety but maybe don't have as much faith as you.

Well, I by no means defend Taarabt when he does wrong, and neither am I blinkered. I was one of those who was calling him out for his atrocious corners towards the start of the season (I think only 1 in 5 were clearing the first defender), and I think his defending is still bad even though he tries, and I think sometimes he tries too much, and I think he needs to work on his shooting. That said, he is still our most skillful player, he is still the most creative, he does try and put in a shift every game now, he has matured, he genuinely seems to care for the club, and he deserves recognition for that.

Those of us praising Adel are treating him the same as other players.

Just imagine SWP, Park, Mackie or even Hoilett suddenly played a game like Taarabt. We'd spend all week banging on about that incredible nutmeg SWP pulled off, that ridiculous Park through-ball, or praising Mackie for suddenly learning how to find space and offer himself for a pass.

But because its Adel, these things barely register with some people.

I hope the guy who used to do youtube videos of entire Adel performances starts doing it again. They were excellent anti-anti-Adel material. Seeing all his touches in one go really shows off just how easily his positive contribution outweighs the bad

Yeah, I miss those, I think they started getting pulled from YouTube after only a day so the guy just stopped. Sad, really, that we live in such greedy times that you can't even see highlights of a player from your team because of copyright laws.

Probably one of the best threads of all time this one...

Just had to read some of the comments again after yesterday. Priceless.

He did not have to defend this time as both Mbia and Fuarlin did the job perfectly v Fulham!
                    QPR fan since1987

I'm not the slightest bit interested in Adel's supposed lack of defensive capabilities.
His most important contributions will always be in the opponents half, as it should be.

Thank god for this post, well said.

Some of our fans haven't a clue about football and I am shocked they aren't supporting man u or chelsea.

The reason we are in this shi t, is because of mark hughes negative sh it and asking players like adel to track back. FFS we have plenty of other players to do the donkey work, adel is the most gifted player in the squad by a country mile and he needs to be in the final 3rd. Played really well in the hole and is unplayable at times.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

mark hughes is one of the most vastly overated managers in the history of association football.....even man utd would struggle under his 'odd' leadership!

Adel works really hard in every game. He tracks back whenever we lose the ball. Even away to Sunderland.... And he's never once thrown a strop this season. Even against Swansea, 4-0 down, he kept wanted the ball and working. He's playing for the team and for himself which is how it should be.

He actually defended really well yesterday too with some fine headers and tackling back, so really can't see the point in bringing this old thread back up.

It was to highlight how ridiculous it was in the first place.
