Adel Taarabt, if he's ever sold by us, and I hope it's not for a very long time, won't be bought for his defensive capabilities.
The Warnock approach should be adopted by HR, with regard to Adel.

Not sure wehy this thread is titled as it is. It should read "The entire team just cannot defend".
Adel is an easy target, but we have a lot of others that are more guilty. Half our defenders can't defend, which is more worrying.

Adel has created the third most chances in open play in the Premier League this season. Only Suarez and Pienaar ahead of him.
Whilst playing for a terrible team that is on the back foot most of the time. With pathetic 'movement' ahead of him.
What more 'end product' do you want from an attacking midfielder??

And yes, 'can't pass' is just ridiculous.
The same people complaining about Adel losing the ball trying to make something happen are also no doubt the same people complaining when we pass the ball back and forth in front of the opposition defence with zero penetration. The latter tends to happen every single time Adel isn't on the pitch.

Adel is never going to win defensive challenges etc, he does the bare minimum in that regards, which managers know. This is why Harry has played Mbia, Diakite, etc in these holding positions to allow for this
But the facts are that he created our only real chance against Sunderland for Mackie, a clear cut chance for Park against Villa, and the corner for our 1st yesterday. Also, the cross for our goal against Soton, and 2 other cracking goals.
Without him, we would have virtually no creative /attacking options.

In the premier league most teams, even those near the bottom are very well organised, they get broken down with quick play, intelligent late runs and movement. Tarrabt undoubtedly has ability but rarely gets into the box, slows play down and is a woeful finisher, exampled by Stoke away, Reading home etc.
If he is as good as many on here believe he will undoubtedly end up at one of the big teams, him and his agent keep throwing those links out there, afraid too many of you believe his publicity.
Time will tell.
