There are definite signs of improvement. Under Hughes too many simply weren't putting in a shift. Things look a little more stable at the back but we're always prone to conceding. Thats why the guv might as well set us up to go forward anyway. We're not going to stay up by containment!
Hughes signings were - as was pointed out at the time - chaotic and I don't think the new powers that be have totally worked out how and who and where to deploy. But they will do so. Whatever happens there will be a serious clear out at the end of the season.
