Ok so I appreciate them pumping the money in, and trying to do whats best for our club...But I lay the blame for this mess squarely with them aswell as Hughes...

Nine games in they must have seen it wasnt working. But they chose to wait 3 more. This has left Harry trying to bond a team in 2 weeks and has pretty much left us in an impossible situation.

I have faith we might do it still but I seriously doubt it...

Its the premier league, 9 games without a win means game over for a manager. With the money he spent there is no excuse. Furthermore if the play was getting better and better and we were just unlucky then fair enough...but it wasn't...

Slighly snarky not-really-warranted dig, sorry. I just completely disagree with this attitude that we need to spend another load of money on yet more players. We tried throwing money at the problem in the summer and look where we are now. Why would any player with long-term ambitions want to join us in Jan? We'd just end up with another load of mercenaries. I think saying 'SPEND MROE MONEY' just shows we've not learned any lessons from the past eighteen months. I said more or less the same about the HR appointment.

I don't think we shouldn't look for players in Jan, of course we should, just don't want to see us making the same mistakes all over again (eg people getting excited about Parker, Anelka etc)

Forget about spending money. Granero cost us a lot of money. But do he cares for the team? Diakite....he cost money as well, all funny tricks that take him no where. Park...the less said the better. Bosingwa....just could'nt learn to pass to his team mates. I give up. Its a lost battle anyway.

I see your point and i agree up to a point. The fault i think lies with Fernandes then for throwing money at these mercenaries in the first place then. He seems to have put his complete trust in Hughes and taken a huge gamble on players that were mostly on free transfers. He agreed to pay them fortunes in wages and now we are where we are. Buck stops with Fernandes. Their is an estimated £75 million per club up for grabs next season if we stay up...Spend £30 million if we are within touching distance of safety in January might be a wise investment.
