I used to go home and away most weeks when i was in my youth but now with a mortgage and young family, other things become more inportant than QPR. I still buzz when we win and hurt like **** when we lose but as for spending all my spare time and money following the R's it aint an option. I reckon i get to about 10 games a season now but really enjoy spending time with my nippers.

Very few people go to every game - we have a few hundred at many away games and always have. Money is an issue, but many, like me, would not be able to go to even if I earned more. I can't really go to mid week games due to work, if I could it would be very rarely and I would have a risk that I could get called into something and not be able to go anyway.
I also don't think it is simply a ticket price thing either - the cost of travel is a major contribution. You talk about taking the game away fro the working class - I don't think the ticket pricing has done that as much as the over all cost. Fans don't support their local team anymore. Many fans at LR every week will have travelled from outside London. The price of the pre and post match beer has gone up exponentially too. So even if tickets were cheap - could a working class person afford to travel to every game? No.
