  • Wingers Like Cook and Ainsworth

Would they get more crosses in that Routledge and Tarrabt and therefore suit our style of play more?

I make the point, as get the impression they are flair players and not team players?

Yes they would, neither WR or AT cross the ball at all.

Although to be fair we dont have anyone in the box to head it atm.

both have undoubted talent but definately yesterday they always seemed to take 1 touch too many ... and Routledge always cuts in ... both never get to the byline and whip a good ball across ... and i believe they prob have the beating of most full backs in this league to be able to do this

take yesterday two target men Helguson and Pellicori,

I never noticed anyone go down the by-line and cross the ball. The one cross came from Borrowdale:cry:

seeing as cook as done nothing since he came back from Fulham and in my opinion is well behind routledge and Hogan
Ainsworth will give his all, don't think that will be nowhere near good enough now
Gerry Francis the greatest all round player to come from these shores:super_man:

Really like Ainsworth, he can go past players, but his crossing is poor. Cook is a great crosser, but can't seem to go past players anymore. But I thought the whole point is that we are playing it on the floor now.

There isn't anyone to cross to!

I think that is more jims style of play IMO.

If Dex was still around (he isn't, so I shouldn't be talking about him (apparently)), he would thrive on crosses. Although on last season's evidence I didn't see Cookie getting to the by line much either.

Still two full backs and two strikers short of challenging - same as last season...

Pellicori and HH and too simular to play together imo.

A fully fit Lee Cook could do well in this team imo.

knowing camps weakness against crosses and the fact we had the two big lads up front.. i thought we would cross at every opportunity.

however both routledge and taarabt wanted to go inside and take on every man.

if that was magiltons tactics then he failed miserably.. otherwise we do indeed have some skillful players who dont work as a team.

                        Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"
