  • Twitter row.....

I had the most astonishing twitter row with someone last night.

Basically he was a Liverpool fan who openly admitted to me that he applauded Spurs when they lost because they are a better team than Liverpool.....He is also not going to watch Liverpool this weekend as he would prefer to watch Sunderland v Chelsea because he admires their play!

He scorned and mocked me for not being open to watching the beautiful game for what it is and applauding the opposing team when QPR lose.

WTF!!!! Is it just me or has this bloke lost the plot completley?

He sounds like a proper gayo.

Football is so global now, so 24 hour, so all encompassing that practically everyone calls themselves a football fan.

I am not going to say they aren't cos it is not my right.

However it does mean that there are a lot more really odd opinions about on football compared to when it was just MOTD and second half radio commentary once a week !

Bet he wears a silk scarf and eats his bananas in a right strange fashion.

I hate people who do that 😡 unfortunately these so called bigger prem clubs attract a lot of hangers on , I've got mates who support united an Liverpool and when they have watched rangers games with me they have never really understood why I get so down when we lose and why I go so ballistic when we score its been a running joke for years . Rangers make or break my weekends and that's just how it is . I look at it like I'm the lucky one to have such a deep love and connection with a football club that they will never have . Qpr = proper fans

That's me down to a tee. Every weekend has been bo.lloxed so far because of em. Its got so bad that my missus dreads when we're playing. I'll be there at Wigan tomorrow though looking for a miracle.

Strange bunch Scousers, but they do know their football !

My mind may be addled by too much Alcohol, Chemicals & refined sugar BUT didn't they clap off their players AND ours after losing the Milk Cup Semi final @ Anfield ?

And one of the Taxi drivers we used for last years Liverpool game knew so much about our 80's team, it was spine tingling.

As I said strange bunch the Mickey Mousers ..........
"Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%?
For us that would mean around 29k."

This is the feeling that no other football club can provide, they will never understand.

Age certainly has a lot to do with it, agree! Age brings perspective and a sense of what's really important. I mean REALLY important. So, your team loses......no biggie in the grand scheme of things, but the pups dont see it that way, but they will.
