I use the word dogsh 1 t daily and wouldnt stop using it in the company of koreans as my statement has no racial conotations, in fact if I were to stop using it I reckon thatd be racist. its an everyday word the use of which has been misconstrued, is it racist to say "im nipping round the shops for some fags, i couldnt give a monkeys or fark me its nippy out there today"?
    Well put.

that bit mate...to me you are not a QPR supporter if you also support Man Utd. Simple as that. You cant support 2 clubs and when Park leaves you will start supporting the club he goes too. So to me..you are not a QPR supporter. Glad we cleared that up. As for me being racist? you are wrong. Bet this isnt the first time you have cried wolf either

I agree with you. However, you have missed integral parts of this thread which is, granted, too long. Here is a quote from my earlier post. Nothing ambiguous about it.

No, it was not about the "********" comment. It was the one where Factamondo made a remark to the effect that Asians are too lightweight to play football and should just play ping pong or shuttlecock. I responded to it and called it out as an ignorant, racist comment. I also pointed out that the "lightweight" team from South Korea had just a few months ago soundly defeated Team GB in the London Summer Olympics, of all places, and ultimately placed third.

We will take their money they are putting in but not taking that **** about them being supporters when they admit blatantly to also supporting Man United.

Not to be mean, vblock, but you are a bit thick, like a wall. Everything just bounces off you, no retainment of anything previously said. To envy or to pity.

              Okay. That was mean.

                    • This thread will go on and on and on, it is like a "banning beauties" contest and I am the judge
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

Please keep all of them alive.

I want this to end at some point and be happy.

It would be pain for them to not have a right to post when we win for the first time this season right?

                        • Not sure this post is going anywhere. To be clear racism is not allowed on this board. To be clear its also totally acceptable to criticise Park's performances. To be clear you don't have to prove how good a fan you are to post.

Facto enjoys teasing people and don't think he is ever malicious, but obviously its stupid to say Asian players are not strong enough for football. Korean fans are newer fans and many of them will have been drawn to us by Park, just as many will be pushed away from us by unfriendly comments. There are bound to be misunderstandings when people from different countries come together: in England you can't really support two teams, but if you are following the fortunes of QPR and maybe turning up to watch them now and then that can only be good for our club - fans have to start somewhere.

Personally I think its pretty impressive that so many Korean fans have stuck around given that their support for us must have coincided with us going through pretty well the worst run in our entire 125 year history and with Park out of the team. Lets just be welcoming, get off each others backs and see where we are in six months...

                          • Joon, I am not against any of you, its not like that so plz hear it. To put it simple, the English football fans here think that supporting more than one single club is like trying to have another parents(father and mother). for them the club atmosphere is like a long standing family-ship and they cannot change it til they die.

such norm has been deep-rooted in their blood for more than a century, you can't change it. But in fact, you can be part of them by slowly showing your true loyalty. One Queen one big family and one life... thats what having one life-long club means to them

                              • Holy wtf was this all about?
Does anyone have a podcast link to this thread as attempting to read it is like trying to read War & Peace in A Turkish sauna?

Can we just not have a sticky explaining why we support a team & not a player & why we will abuse any player regardless of their birth place when they under-perform?

Also, as many have stated on other threads; the culture of following a player rather than a team is not exclusive to Koreans; it seems to be only exclusive to Europeans (and some of those psycho River Plate & Junior supporters in Argentina).

I see this approach as other peoples loss, as they will never experience the lifelong turmoil, joy, pain, frustration, happiness & the feeling of being part of something special of supporting 'just' a club through a whole lifetime.
Although most sports in Nth America have supporters following a certain player rather than a team, you are now starting to find more & more MLS fans staying loyal to their club & not an individual.
Maybe this is a sign, that may mean that some of our new found Korean supporters may hang around after Park leaves as they have found a home from home; but if we keep digging at them & they keep having digs back, then we all lose.

Joon, in reference to the racial remarks; as other mods/admins have already stated, we do not tolerate such posts. We do our best to try & monitor every post, but we also rely on members sending us a message if they believe something offensive has been posted; please reach out to any of us via PM, if you believe somebody has posted something with racial undetones & we will investigate straight away & take action if warrented.
