You're having a laugh!! What an idiot statement to make when the club stand to lose possibly 50 million pounds. I am a season ticket holder who also attends many away games because of my passion for the club. Yes, I agree that there is a group of Prima donnas in the club who I hope Harry will weed out however to suggest that anything but being is the premier would be a good thing is completely naive. Not sire if you make these statements for your own publicity or if you have any ounce of sense

You don't have a clue what you are talking about. If the club were to take your approach in terms on ambition, they would probably be non league. The fact is success is key which is one thing you have failed to connect with. Do you think Chelsea would be a Global brand without the investment and subsequent success of Mr Abramovich? At the end of the day after supporting Rangers over the last 40 Years, the landscape of Football has changed and with the Premier League, clubs in that league have every opportunity to grow their fanbase. I have seen Rangers through the ups and downs and want to see the club be successful. That won't happen without a bigger fanbase. In addition, there is no incentive for the investors to remain if they believe we cannot progress beyond championship. With your ambition, we'll be getting the buckets out again and maybe you'll be happy.
Bottom line is you have not got a clue what you are talking about and should give up posting if this is the best you can do.

Our time in the Premiership has been like the kid from the estate who won a bursary to Harrow or Eton, we don't belong.
Everyone else is laughing at us, we try to make ourself big and important by saying we are moving to a 40k stadium blah blah but we cant even sell out 18K. Like the kid we try to fit in but just can't. Lets go home.

Go home mate wherever. Don't think it will stop at the championship either. No investment / investors and we wont even retain championship status. The alterntive is to be in the top division and build our revenue and fanbase. I remember watching QPR when we can second in the highest tier and nothing filled me with more pride. If you choose to have no ambition and accept defeat, thats fine. I don't think the majority of fans want that so you are entitled to an opinion but we all have to make choices.

Norwich & Southampton are like the lower middle class family that dedicated everything to their kids, sacrificed family holidays and new cars to pay their way for the children to attend haberdashers aske.
Reading - are the middle class IT family have few ups and downs due to insecurity in the job market but can pay their way for them to attend Stowe
Wigan - self employed scrap metal owner. always pays his fees for Westminster in cash on time every year without fail.

[QUOTE=007 Bro;981155]You don't have a clue what you are talking about. If the club were to take your approach in terms on ambition, they would probably be non league. Portsmouth, Leeds & Coventry all had ambition.
Premiership isnt the land of milk and honey, all the teams that are in them save for those that have been newly qualified are in serious debt. Chelsea are wealthy not due to Premiership but due to their owner, a man who has no shareholders and really answers to no one same as city.
Everton a well run club is in massive debt, even Bolton are in huge debt, somehow cant understand how people can think a club that cant sell out 18k, bottom of the league, needs a new stadiym and training ground will suddenly not just balance it books but make a huge profit when no other club in the premiership has done so is something I at the moment cannot buy into.

Factomondo, not looking for your respect. I've read up on some of your posts and tend to spew the biggest load of rubbish that I could think would come out of anyones mouth. So, as a QPR supporter, you are entitled to your opinion but I don't think you should get upset when someone disagrees with it. My final point on this matter is that success is important and you can't have major success by sitting in the lower leagues. If beating Grimsby Town or Barnsley is the extent of your ambition for the club, so be it. But 90% + of the fanbase have a different opinion.

Agreed Mr Abramovich is a guanantor for Chelsea however their income is much greater as a result of their status and success over the last 10 years. Even if he left Tomorrow, he has built an infrastructure that will help secure their future. Sure, the point about building a stadium may make some chuckle however don't think the investors would be doing something that only had income from Football. A multi purpose stadium with income from mutiple sources is what is being discussed. The income from mutiple sources of revenue is what we need to compete therefore I for one applaud the ambition of the investors.
