  • A glimmer of hope

OK, I've had a chance to reflect on things.

Today we didn't take our chances. However, it was a much improved display and we probably deserved to win. Had Mbia and Diakite stayed on the pitch, I think we might have nicked the three points, as they really were dominating midfield. When they went off, we seemed to run out of ideas. It sounds like they're both going to be OK, so start them against Wigan and we've got a real chance. I would personally choose Faurlin over Granero, who has not particularly impressed me to be quite honest.

Redknapp IS making a difference. Players ARE putting the effort in and the team seems to have a recognisable shape (under Hughes I often had no idea what formation he was playing, since everyone was charging around aimlessly). And we haven't lost yet under 'Arry. Yes, I'm clutching at straws a bit, but the fact is that we haven't. Surely the team is feeling more confident than they were a couple of weeks ago. We're also only three points behind Reading.

Our next four games are all winnable. We have to get something at Wigan. Call me insane, but I actually think we're going to beat Fulham. Local derbies can sometimes produce strange results and I just think, with Fulham's abysmal away record, we could do them. An early goal will silence their pathetic supporters immediately. Newcastle are not performing particularly well this season, whilst WBA are not as good as their league position suggests. Obviously I'm not suggesting we're favourites for these fixtures (we could well lose all of them) - but we do have a chance.

What is giving me hope is reflecting on the Liverpool match last season. I was so sure that we were relegated and then all of a sudden we turned it around. Once again, I find myself almost resigned to watching Championship football next year, but we could pull off another miracle. You just never know.

I admire your optimism, but we've not won a game after 15 rounds and we're nearly half way through the season. I would be a bit more optimistic if we had goalscorers in our side but we don't. We all thought we made some incredible signings in the summer, but they've all been a disaster - a bunch of hazbins who couldn't care less about QPR. Redknapp's got an impossible job on his hands. We might have a chance if we had 11 Jamie Mackies playing though

yes there is an improvement definately but still not enough to beat a bottom 5 team at home again today. The players failed....again. A win cant be too far away if we keep improving though, just hope it isnt too late.
