No real surprise considering who MH's agent is, absolute disgrace for any club but even worse for us considering our size. Tony and Amit could have got a return off peak Easy Jet flight and sold the club to those players.

This presumably includes signing on fees for out of contract players, like Green and Bosingwa. It's absolutely shocking, and really takes us beyond being a laughing stock into the theatre of the gullible. Who was sanctioning this gob****e expenditure? If it was Beard, my estimation of his nous has come down a skyscraper or two.

Is this really a surprise??

We signed more players than anyone, and about 8 were free transfers, meaning the club would be more inclined to pay higher agent fees if required to secure the deals, because the outlay is still relatively low compsred to paying even modest transfer fees.

We just need to consider these fees as part of our transfer spending, as we picked up several highly paid free agents.

One thing you're all forgetting is we took a lot of players on who were freebies. You tend to pay higher wages and agents fees making signings like that. No big surprise there. In fact I'm surprised we are not first or second given we signed a few more players than most other clubs.

What's the problem here? When you sign free players the signing on fee or the wages is higher than usual same as the gent fee.

The issue about the agent fees we paid isn't the amount, anyone would realise that with MH and the people around him that we would pay high fees to agents as shown in the table. The point is that the fees we paid are a complete waste of money as we are rooted to the bottom of the table and don't look like a very good team.
So the amount of fees for many of us is not a surprise but an embarassment, two best players on the pitch yesterday were Hill and Mackie they were absolute quality. The surprise is how we were allowed to get ourselves in the position we are.
