  • Taarabt to ditch ACN to help QPR

Sky Sports News are claiming that Adel Taarabt is thinking of not playing for Morocco in the African Cup of Nations because he wants to help QPR stay up. Great attitude if true

Could become a true legend if he carries on like this.

And sorts out his decision making and final ball

Granero will be Twitchers Modric, Adel will hopefully become his Van Der Vaart.

                Spot on.

I mentioned the other week we have players who could fit in HR's preferred 4411 he had with Spurs and it was Granero and either Diakite / Faurlin in the middle with Adel behind cisse... As it turns out he likes mbia in the middle and on performances him and granero would be better in a central 2.

                  I don't to be honest.

He had a fall out with the manager in the past, they patched things up and he went to last years ACN, but then was left on the bench every match i think.... i would not be surprised if he used this as a kill 2 birds with 1 stone scenario... can't be bothered to go and sit on the bench again for them, so declines saying he wants to help Rangers and in the process further endear himself to our fans and coaching staff.

Yep - I reckon Adel & Arry will form a strong relationship I really do. And I dont mean that theyre guna be getting hold of eachother behind the bike sheds at Harlington or anything like that, but I think Arry will bring out the best in Adel and Adel will be more than happy to proove to Arry what a top player he once let go.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Finally, this could be one of those wake up and smell the coffee moments for a professional footballer. Realising and accepting that the Club that pays your wages is eminently more important than some two bob International tournament shows maturity that I never thought I'd see from Adel. Now, if only Traore has the guts to say - "actually I'm not 100% fit (which is true because that lad never is) and that aint going to improve by sitting on the bench in Africa for 3 weeks", we may just have another break through moment.

If it is true that is a fantastic attitude and shows his commitment to the club. He would surely go up in the opinions of those who doubt him.

If this is true, there not much you can say about it. Hope footballers around the world are watching.

Either way, we could potentially still have the heart ripped out of our side with Mbia, Diakite and Traore still at risk.... Knowing our luck, Spain will send a B side cos it's the only tournament they haven't won, and Granero will get called up too....
