The Feeling I Get From Talking To Fans

the CLUB raised expectations and prices
fans feel angered to be priced out..for example travel is in danger cos so few are going!!
thats a fact....die hard regs and tahts it.
i am truly bewildered.
why talk of 3 yrs ago...we had players that cared and were honest within thier limitations, ie steve palmer but gave 100%
to me the new wealth based arrogance at the club has created THE WALL, THE DIVIDE
the c=club has been a disaster, empty exec boxes too...
i looked into the c-club and it summed up all i hate about qpr.
them and er, us.
we want our rangers back means a return to stylish, flowing football ( last seen under ldc)ENTERTAINMENT and a family club.
overcrowded SAR concourse is not good.
we were so lack lustre, tired looking yesterday and its only game 5!

i dont expect to win every game though and im hoping most qpr fans are the same. for example getting beat by bristol city away... i can accept that.. but drawing with blackpool at home im dissapointed with and wouldve been 3 years ago too. drawing with plymouth was a bit dissapointing too because they are a very poor side now. the forest scoreline wasnt what ****ed me off, it was the way we played. if we played our socks off and got a draw there wouldve been no booing. i still see the same qpr fans - we have better players than a few years ago so that is what slightly raises expectations.
the most dissapointing about the financial situation is we are not even spending money like a normal championship club!? now that is what i dont understand, fair enough the flav n co dont wanna go mad but surely 5m to spend in the summer wouldnt have been too much to ask? dont even say faurlin 3.5 cos we know thats know what theyve paid.

Expecting us to beat the likes of Plymouth and Forest ISN'T raised expectation due to the money -- 3 or 4 years ago we wouldn't have been happy to draw with them, seeing as we were beating them!!!
We beat Forest to send them down, remember?
We whacked Plymouth 3-0 at home and have beaten them on other occasions.
Also, Blackpool -- we have beaten them several times in recent years, including earlier this year, away from home, so expecting to beat them is not unreasonable..
These are average/below average teams in this division who we were beating BEFORE the money came along -- not the high-flyers.
The only people who wouldn't hope to beat them are the ones who are likely to get relegated.Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

It's also hard to justify our fans singing "You're support is f****** s**t" to the Forest fans, just before the PA announces a crowd of 13,000.
A bit embarrassing, that.
A lot of that is down to prices, (The highest ticket prices in the WHOLE division) and the way the owners have talked "The Project" up, without backing it up with a transfer policy that backs up all the talk/fireworks.
Big Expectations with a transfer/manager/scouting policy that is a complete mess = One Big Let Down.Last edited by Robbo; 23-08-2009, 04:45 PM.

The best thing if it could happen is for flav, to sell his little side hobby to someone who is willing to take on QPR as a first love and is willing to spend money on the team.
Someone who knows how to run a football club would help also.
So flav, start looking around m8 and unload your shares......mabe Amit and his father in law might be interested, then you dont have to worry any more about filling up the tables at your small resterount and selling all the rooms at your little hotel, and of course there's the lift as well,.......you wont have to worry about that going up and down.
Dont forget the little ppl who only pay £20 and think they have a say in something they have spent a good deal of there lives supporting.
Oh ps.............dont worry about Bernie, he aint interested anyway. They seek him here.................

Whats the first thing they done double most people's season tickets.
Raised expectations maybe if the prices were the same then we wouldn't be disappointed at drawing to the likes of blackpool and plymouth. The team is no better and we're paying over the odds for very average football.
also 2or3 years i would of been disappointed with a draw with plymouth!

so if you upgrade from a mini to a porsche do you expect to pay the same price.i'm not saying i'm happy that i'm paying more but it was to be expected.the prices are in no way fair and i'm not standing up for the board just putting a different perspective on it.what the hell was god thinking of when he thought of hamsters?

Its not that they're not spending money, just that they are spending it on playthings for themselves.
I am yet to be convinced that theirs is *true* investment; by my reckoning all they have done is transfer the debt elsewhere.
My biggest gripe is the fact that they have no pedigree in football matters and yet they want to have a say. With our gates, we have always needed to uncover a gem or two and then sell them on for a profit. Francis could do it consistently; Olly did it occasionally (****tu and Carlisle are both in the Prem today) and Paladini has done it once (out of about 40) in Connolly.
We have no scouting network and a horribly underfunded youth set up. Surely, if the owners were going to get promotion *properly* those would be the first two areas to be addressed, wouldn't they?
Add in to the pot, their inability to keep managers, I suspect (although can't prove anything) that we are viewed as a laughing stock under Briatore and that no-one worth anything wants anything to do with the club whilst he is in charge.
So, although I would never be so stupid to think that this was ever 'MY Rangers'; I am losing interest in Briatore's Rangers fairly rapidly...
