Probably better than SWP but not convinced he's the answer to our problems.
The thing with Wayne was he had a great understanding with Taarabt on the pitch, suddenly remember that class goal of him when Taarabt laid off a ball with his outside foot swerving across the defense.
Now we do seem to lack that kind of understanding upfront.
Hindsight again! At the time, not ONE person here wanted Routs over SWP. At the time, SWP was still considered pretty good by many, whereas Routs had scored 1 Prem goal in about 100 appreances...

Very true, I'm included in that. Right now I'd definitely have Routledge back, seems to have gotten better and better.

remember though that when we got promoted, Routledge had never scored a goal in the top flight. He was always seen as one who was too good for the championship and not able to cut it in the EPL. We went for SWP instead who at least had a pedigree. I thought Wayne deserved to get a permanent move but thats life, looks a poor call now

Agree. Hindsight is a great thing. At the time I doubt there were many at all, if any fans, saying they would rather Routledge over SWP.
Now though? I doubt theres a single (sane) fan that wouldnt swap em.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
LOL you are joking right. The guy has one good game in about 20 and you want to get excited over him. You crack on fella. I'm happy we didn't sign him permanently. He'll be one of the first player replace by Swansea in the transfer window. Totally overrated, fancies himself and has a chip on his shoulder!
For those interested you yourself cracking one out because he scored a couple of goals last night. It's very rare footballers CV's lie. Top teams don't hold onto average players and he is no more than that. Bottom six Premiership player at best, top half Championship player, no more.

He's on 4-5 league goals, and a similar amount for assists, better then any of our current team!

We are on a third of the season through and I bet he don't get near doubling either of those stats. As I said a top half championship player at best. Still would Taarabt or Toilet over him any day of the week.
