I guess we all agree he is our most talented player, but he still lacks the following:

    1. Passing: how terrible his passes are after all the good dribble work. In many occasions he did the good work but did not pass the ball well because the other player is a bit far. He needed to run a bit more then pass. As we say in my country: "He does well but throw it in the sea".

    2. Hurry: I noticed he is in a hurry several times when he needed to slow down a bit and concentrate before thinking what to do.

    3. shooting: Noticed sometimes either he shot the ball when he shouldn't or his shots are weak and far easy for the opposition goal keeper.

Let's hope Harry works on improving his performance because sometimes his workrate is high but the outcome is wasted. I am sure a better Taarabt will greatly improve our results.

I would agree with this - I dont think they are bad points though, just slight improvements in his game.

He has improved so much of late and is adapting to the prem

i agree wit most of what our saying but here is my take on it

        1. Passing: how terrible his passes are after all the good dribble work. In many occasions he did the good work but did not pass the ball well because the other player is a bit far. He needed to run a bit more then pass. As we say in my country: "He does well but throw it in the sea". to be fair to taarabt the balls he plays mostly are quite good balls, lazy players like cisse and zamaro have made them look terrible as they are not connecting onto them 2. Hurry: I noticed he is in a hurry several times when he needed to slow down a bit and concentrate before thinking what to do. tabs is in a hurry again because of lazy players around him sometimes he does something brilliant and the players around him dont expect him to come out with the ball then they are not there to support
        3. shooting: Noticed sometimes either he shot the ball when he shouldn't or his shots are weak and far easy for the opposition goal keeper. shoots soft when should blast it, blast it when he should shoot soft <<< hes on his own there loooool

Don't agree on his passing, he's constantly threading excellent balls forward through the opposition defence either as through balls or for Cisse/whoever to holdup and lay off. Really don't get where the 'his passing has been bad' stuff has come from.

Decision making still sometimes dodgy, fair enough.

And his shooting, for a man who scored 20+ goals a couple years ago, is terrible. But I think this is more a mental problem than anything to do with technique, and stems from the same reasons as the decision making point above. He seems to lose his mind slightly when thinking too long about something, he suddenly gets rushed and then takes shots with his body positioning all wrong. He'll be leaning way too far back, or his standing foot will be in the wrong place, or something. Perhaps he should visit a sports psychologist

I do think Adel is the last of our problems though.

His passing, decision-making and shooting are all better than Mackie's, say.

The improvement from him under Mark Hughes was pretty remarkable. Tracking back, heading and tackling are attributes you thought Tarbs would never have.

He always looks for the 'clever' sort of pass, but I've noticed he is playing a lot more simple passes than he used to. I agree he does seem to charge forward in a hurry at times but he's always done that tbf, although he's doing it a lot more since 'Arry's joined; Trying to impress him maybe? Agree on his shooting, he certainly knows how to strike a ball but a lot of the time he scuffs it, mostly when he is in a hurry and doesn't know what to do. I think we all agree that he's a much better player now than when he was a couple seasons ago, as he's more of a team player and is tracking back a lot more now! He'll improve under Redknapp though.

Some of his passing of late has been shocking, but more important for me is his decision making at times has been truely awful.... Stoke game this was evident beyond belief and not just that ridiculous attempted lob, but shooting when he should pass to players in better positions, or passing to nobody when he should shoot sometimes, passing far too late in a break too often or delayed so much Cisse had to completely check his run and then he released the pass.

He has all the ability, but needs a better football brain.

As for Corners.... he should never take one again. It is baffling for a player of that ability to NEVER be able to beat the first man, it must have imo become a pshycological thing for him... in which case it will only get worse, not better.

on tuesday i felt he and granero linked up well but in the same breath crowded out eachother. i think adel is more effective on the left. rather than starting central.

I agree with that. I liked the look of the side shapewise, albeit Cisse was isolated too often, but when we did break we broke quickly and in numbers with the confidence that Mbia and Diakite will deal with anything coming back the other way. But you're right, with Adel, Granero and Mackie in a more shallow 3, Adel tended to try and occupy similar space to Granero at times. Also i just think the attackes sometimes lost momentum as Adel tried too much or held onto the ball too long on occasion.
