The new Ray Wilkins, sideways and back to the defender passes. So far nothing special imo.

Granero was poor? Are people for real (no pun intended)?

I fully understand that stats can be used and don;t always tell the whole truth, but in this case they proove that the point is horsesh1t.

Granero is a very good player.
The fact osme of our fans are slating him is a little crazy imo. Even when the team as a collective has been poor, i thin khe's always looked comfortable, composed, creates space for himself in crowded areas with good skill and tight turns, and normally always picks out a Rangers player. I also think it's a bit harsh to say he's one of these players who only goes sidewaysa and back.... on the contrary i think he looks for a forward pass more often than not, but if one's not on, he does what he needs to to help build the play and retain posession. THIS IS NOT A BAD THING!
There has also been a lack of forward options for the midfield to be creative which has hindered him somewhat, and i also thinks he gets annoyed playing with Taaarabt. Read the body language every time they break as a unit (Taarabt, Granero, Mackie, Cisse) the amount of times Taarabt gets given the ball and could play a quick return but doesn't, i feel the Granero more than most is getting p5sed off.... and i don't blame him.
I think the problem with Taarabt is this. Yes he can be a game changer / match winner whatever you want to call it, however once he seems to get established in the side as a guaranteed starter, he seems to revert back into his "play for Adel first, team 2nd" mentality. Harry needs to change this fast as he's been like this the last few games.

I think is really funny that the things people are moaning that Granero does, they accept Adel doing. Adel has been fantastic this season and I hope it continues but he is not at Granero's level yet and I just hope Twitcher tells Adel he will sub him immediately if he takes another corner or free kick.

From what I've seen so far Granero doesn't impose himself on the game enough for me.
I agree that he is very tidy on the ball, keeps possession well and has some nice touches, but surely isn't that the very at least you would expect from a central midfielder who has played 30 plus games for Real Madrid? Personally I think he needs a bit of time to adapt to the pace of the English game and if he is going to play the central midfield playmaker role then he has got to ensure he gets on the ball a lot more!
