Decent performance and point and obviously a clean sheet which is vital in the prem.

I thought we played well on the whole without creating too many clear chances. We bosssed most of the match though and in recent times we've been doing that then making a fatal error at the back costing us the match. IT was good to see that didn't happen tonight.

Harry's only had 1 session with the team but now has a week to get into them before Villa, which is crucial. IF (?) we can get 3 points then that will be a great return for his first 2 games and set us up nicely to go into the Wigan game with confidence.

Agree, we looked very solid for once, very rarely under that much pressure, passed it around nicely second half without often looking like delivering the killer ball. Positives were that JSP looked really sharp and hungry so maybe the rest did him good, another fine game from Traore and the back four rarely put a foot wrong. Still would like to see Faurlin in there as think he is our best midfield player. Main negative for me was that Cisse still doesn't look at the races, albeit he had v little support.

If we can keep a clean sheet against Villa I think we will score at home. Actually created two good opportunities tonight one for Mackie and one for SWP which we have tended not to do recently.

Agree with all that has been said above. I just felt we lacked numbers when we went on the attack. We hardly threatened their goalkeeper. I'd like to see Hoilett play against Villa

Am sure if you put one of those running meters on him you would find he covers more grass than anyone else in the team by a distance.

Totally agree. He was MOTM for me. Best game in the hoops by far.
