  • Beckham.

Rumor is all over the gaff. Think it will be a brilliant idea. Not his ability, having him around will give everyone a boost, being able to lure beckham will show everybody that HR means business and make other teams fear us perhaps. If Harry and Becks can inspire this lot, then no one can.

Having a load of page 3 birds around the place will give everyone a boost.....

TO be honest i don't see how Becks is going to help us. A couple of years ago i'd have said he could've maybe done a job on the pitch in a central quarter back type role pulling the strings ala Wilkins, but now, i don't see him doing a better job there than Faurlin, Granero or Diakite.

Not to mention we would become a media circus act and i'd be concerend there'd be expectations to play him whether it was good for the team or not.

He would be good to have around as part of the staff team, but that's about it now.

Beckham would be a good trainer and professional to have about the place for the young players to look up to but that is about it.

A role model like Parker or Dawson but the difference is they would actually play.

I seriously doubt he is a priority but the press love a Beckham story so will run with anything to do with him because it sells.

i think people seriously doubt his ability, the only thing he has really lost is pace due to his age. id have him in a heartbeat. hes not a week in week out starter but he was cutting it in the champions league for milan not long ago and harry wanted to sign him on loan for spurs last jan but through certain implications he couldnt. were at the right level for becks
i supported qpr in the glory days when chris kiwomya and michael ngonge played up front

i reckon hed be a quality right back too. he can play on his favoured side but isnt needed to dart down the wing

he could always teach Adel how to take a corner and get it past the first defender
that alone would be worth him coming

Becks is an easy target for people who love shooting him down. He was a fabulous player and still could play in the Premier League, I am sure of that.

Teams in the Champions League are showing an interest.

As I said in another thread - midfield is not our main problem at the moment though and Harry will know that,

If he was to take our corners, it may get past the first defender & could injure one of our players who are not used to seeing the ball coming at them from a corner kick & could result in a nasty injury (nose bleed or a sore head).
