  • 4 Points from next 2 Games

We all want 6, and I think that could happen. However, I think 4 is more realistic and I think Harry would be pleased with that as it would mean the all important first win and a solidity that means we are becoming harder to beat.

Clean sheets would be really good right now too and we simply have to improve defending set pieces.

I would settle for 0-0 and 1-0 that would be a great start for Harry.

Would love to score more and take 6 points, but think clean sheets are more important than goal fest right now.

    Spot on

Would love six and with the right attitude I think six is not unrealistic but if I could take four now I would. Would double our points total in two games and get the points tally ticking.

I would take 4 right now - but just imagine if he achieved in his first game something Hughes failed to do in his whole time at Rangers. A win at Sunderland would be just the lift this lot need.

Out of interest, I only got back from Manchester today as I stayed up to visit friends so I've not seen the coverage and footage since Harry came in - I know he said this morning that Phil Beard is still tying up the ends with Bond and Jordan, but are they already on board and working with the squad or did the training session yesterday and today include Bowen and Hughes' team?

Yesterday Bond and Jordon took training no sign of the previous regime

Double the seasons points total in just 2 games? Sounds like a job for Harry Houdini I think it is better to give him a few games to settle.

In football you want to win your home games. If you can get something on your travels then all well and good but win at home.

Would have 21 points now I think if that was the result.

So I would hope for 5-6 points over the next 4 games. That form will beat relegation.

As we have LSE there are still plenty of tickets left for Villa game (mainly in that area). I am sure it will sell out for Harry's first home game, we need to show top support.

Get in there before they are all gone.

For Sunderland away I expect a battling performance and some basic football too.
Probably means Adel coming off the bench rather than starting. He is more suited to starting at home in a side fighting relegation.
Would be a great start to get a point up there. But also to find the XI who can work as a team to deliver for the next month.

Not necessarily expecting it, but I really dont think 6 points is unrealistic. Sunderland are in a right pickle at the moment, terrible form and rumours flying about that O'Neill wants out - it really is a good time to be playing them, especially as it Arry's first game in charge (new manager syndrome n all that!).
Villa at home is a game I would expect to win.

That said, if given the option to take 4 points now I probably would.

Would be very harsh on Adel if dropped in Harrys first game. Along with Nelson, he has been far our best player of late. Understand what you are saying about grafting etc, but to be fair to him he has grafted more so then most of the squad.

If Adel shows that in training I am sure he will start.

Harry is known for playing attractive football and someone like Adel suits his style of play and he has delivered a lot more than most of the team.

On the other hand any team in a relegation battle playing Sunderland away will expect all XI to graft and work as a team unit to get anything.

So I would not be surprised if Adel is on the bench.

But I would be surprised if there is not a fully committed TEAM performance. That is first base for a team battling relegation.

Adels shocking decision making with the ball cost us at Stoke. Against saints he was petulant and inefective and against Utd was ok, but still tried pathetically weak shots from long range rather than pass, also his corners were again hitting the first man every time. Rooney showed what a good delivery can offer..... We never have a threat from corners as never beat the first man. To compound that failing, decent teams then break quickly and exploit the fact our CB's are the wrong end of the pitch... although in Anton's case, that's a good thing.

I dont understand why people still refer to Adel assomebody that cant "graft". Adel puts in more of a shift than half the players we currently have. As Robson says, him & Nelsen have been, IMO, our stand out performers both in terms of ability and putting a shift in.
Adel is a must starter for me.

It will be really interesting to see the starting 11 Harry puts out. He will obvioulsy know some of the palyers more than others and Adel looked more relaxed than the rest when he left training the other day. Some looked very sheepish with the press, but that could be anything.

I think Harry will be looking for a clean sheet first and anything else being a bonus. Not sure who he thinks will get him a clean sheet.
